They were kind and helpful with a quote, and made some minor fixes (e.g. added more steering wheel fluid) even though I ended up not getting the repairs fixed with them. I'm giving four stars only because I felt communication regarding status and expectations was comparably less helpful/effective than with other places in my personal experience. Specifically, I wasn't called to know what the status of my car was, I had to call them; and they also didn't ask me for any contact information initially (I left my contact information with my keys in the vehicle but I am unsure if they noticed). It also seems like they don't work by appointment, it's more like a first-come-first-serve basis, which is fine except I didn't know that; since I was told it would be assessed at 3pm was expecting an assessment that day or the following day by phone call. My car didn't receive a full assessment until Monday and I wasn't given the actual quote until Tuesday morning. I'm sure they are very busy and I'm thankful they were able to help me with the quote, I just wish there would have been better communication about their service process and regarding my car's assessment needing to be pushed back. It's my only car and I had to scramble to arrange alternate transportation for Monday and Tuesday. However it was an overall good experience with Chad when we did communicate. I did not get my car fixed with them because I am going to buy a new car instead.

They mounted and balanced all 4 tires that I did not even purchase from them in 40 minutes and called to tell me it was ready. They did a wonderful job. They did not try to upsell anything and thanked me for coming in. They were also cheaper than other businesses in my area for the same service. I would recommend them to anyone. These were 10-ply rated tires on a Ford F250 HD 4WD truck with aluminum rims. I have read the other reviews and can only say that I was VERY impressed with their service. Did I mention that I ran 3 different tire shops during my working years? I'm retired now, and appreciate good work when I see it.

My transmission line started leaking somewhere before Champaign, IL, on my way down to deer hunting…read morecamp. I got back on the road after gassing up and filling my transmission fluid back up. Shortly after getting back on the highway, my "check engine" light came back on. I was debating whether or not I should go further, but pulled off the road at the next exit, which was Mattoon. After stopping at the first auto shop, which did not do transmission work, I was referred to CIT. After getting there, they quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me several options. I had to leave my vehicle behind and come back for it later. They did excellent work, and I was extremely happy with the quality of work done, and how they helped me. Very trustworthy people. Although I live several hours away, if I needed something done with my transmission, I would consider going the distance, knowing that it would be done right.
