To be honest, our party of three arrived 30 minutes late at the restaurant for our 3 p.m. reservations because of a construction detour. We were still seated with the proviso that we must leave by 5 because they had another reservation. We were comfortable with that so we stayed. Drink orders were taken right away and were delivered promptly. Ordering lunch took a bit longer. We were seated for 20 minutes when the order was taken. One of us was ordering a sandwich and there was a deadline to order by 4:00. When our dinners and sandwich arrived they were very nice. Two of us ordered the salmon with hasselback potatoes which was lovely and cooked perfectly. The crispy shrimp sandwich was good, but served on untoasted focaccia which was too thick and crumbly so needed to be eaten with a knife and fork. That being said, it was very good. When we finished eating, we still had 20 minutes before our 5 p.m. deadline so we asked for a dessert menu. We were told by our server that she had to check with her manager to see if it was possible. She returned a few minutes later with dessert menus, left and never returned to take our order. We paid and left the restaurant about 5:20 with no one ever asking for the dessert order. The kitchen has its act together, but the staff definitely does not. Beautiful view and ambience. read more
