Amazing! The team at Turn of the Wrench came through for us, yet again, before the holiday weekend…read more We have always trusted them with repairs to my Jeep (there have been plenty over the years) and once again they delivered above and beyond! Front suspension upper ball joint had failed to the point of danger to drive. The guys caught it during a routine oil change and somehow (miraculously) were able to complete the repair before promised and always for a good price. Love the 5-Star service, the dedication to their customers, and the detailed work performed. Thanks, Sean & Dennis, for keeping me on the road and repairing my baby! If I could give more than 5 Stars, I would!

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I was referred to this place…read moreby my companies Fleet Manager so I called before towing my car over to them and they told me that the soonest appointment they had was 6 days from the day I was calling - totally fine. I called at the end of the day on the day they said I had an appointment and they said they didn't have time to look at it that day but would look at it in the morning. Annoying but ok. I called towards the end of the next day and they told me that they were busy and couldn't look at it. When I explained that they had said I had an appointment he gave me an attitude and said well you can just tow it back off if you don't like it and honestly with the way this conversation is going I would prefer that. I tried to deescalate the situation and then hung up and my father called to check in assuming that it was because I was a woman they were pushing me around and when my dad said he didn't appreciate the way he talked to me he said I am going to push the car off my lot and you can just deal with it. Then we received word that if we did not get the car from where he pushed it too by 8pm they would tow it themselves. Absolutely ridiculous that instead of taking accountability for the fact that they were pushing us around they resorted to such extreme measures. NEVER bring your car here if you plan on having it looked at in any type of timely fashion.

I own a 2003 Dodge Dakota which was showing an intermittent airbag light coming on. I personally…read moreput in a large number of hours trying to fix the issue myself. I then took it to 3- services shops and none could fix the issue. I have been dealing w/ this problem for almost a year. When I took it to the different shops; one being a Chrysler/Dodge dealer, I was getting different stories as to what was wrong. The third service shop I took it to who could not fix or diagnose the issue, stated that I should try Jamie's Auto Repair-South. I met w/ Jamie and told him my problem and everything I have been through. He said I'll take a shot at the issue and let me know. His initial diagnosis was a bad clock spring which I already had replaced by the first service shop I went to. When Jamie tried a new clock spring from a Dodge Dealer it did not fix the problem. At this point he did not give up!! He continued on the hunt for the problem and finally determined the issue was w/ the Airbag Control Module(ACM). The module had a short inside and was the cause of the intermittent problem. Jamie then took it upon himself to find me a used ACM and installed it and the problem seems to have gone away. Now I get no error codes or Airbag light. Jamie is confident that the problem is solved and I am too. Time will tell the story. So what can I say? Well, I was close to getting rid of the truck b/c of this problem; but Jamie showed skill, tenacity, and true customer concern for my satisfaction. So the moral of the story is the other shops did not want to deal with my problem, but Jamie did and I truly appreciate his efforts. I highly recommend his shop for repairs especially tough head-scratchers which no one else can do or want to do!! Great job Jamie and your crew!!!

Last week when I got a new message on my dash my thought was immediately "this is it, this is the end." I called SSA and told them the message. I proceeded to have some other maintenance work done at the same time as like I said, I love my car. I picked up my car last night and it feels like a new car again. Delaware Tire is the foremost supplier of feet for our cars and trucks. Their's is a reputation…read morebuilt on integrity, quality, and caring. Without a doubt, they are who you should turn to when anything on our vehicles has a "boo-boo". They are the preeminent supplier of tires for fleets, tune-ups (for Newark & Dover Delaware & Salisbury Maryland), and any suspension issues like caster, camber, toe angles. They are experts in CV joints, axles, drive trains, wheel bearings, brakes, etc. For example: I needed a tire for my girl friend's GMC Envoy. They checked it and said the other side was pretty worn so I looked and agreed. They suggested putting the new tires on the rear (and patiently explained the science to do so). Looking at my rear tires, we discovered that they also were worn beyond all hope. I decided to get 4 new tires (at a price I anticipated for just 2). I left while they were in process and shortly got a call from Tom the Newark manager. He asked if I wanted to go through with the purchase given that there were so many issues needing attending to (there's integrity). The list included rear seal motor leakage, front seal leakage, front wheel differential leakage (in both the left side and the rear), driver side front tire CV joint boot ruptured and axel bearing shot, pitman arm and idler arm loose/worn Mounting Brackets, Bushings, Bolts and Nuts, Washers, and Spacers (for proper alignment gaps), and a host of other suspension issues. Immediately listed the issues and sold the vehicle. I am a super satisfied customer of many vehicles. Note: I live in a very hilly area in Landenberg and use 4-wheel in the winter. Never had an issue getting through for decades now with the incredible grip/wear tread of the many sets of tires for the many different vehicles I have owned (and my dear sweet wife when she was here on this planet). I confess to a bunch of off-roading too. (When you absolutely want to test BF Goodrich tires: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQeIjeHwFms)

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Took a vehicle to them for a simple Maryland State Safety Inspection, which…read moreultimately ended in an assault by their employee. The inspection staff and shop manager was verbally abusive when you question their work. Then a third employee decided it is ok to punch a customer in the face. I don't care how heated a discussion gets you don't assault your customers. Interestingly enough I contacted the CEO Mike Montgomery via email regarding this matter and as of 5/4/24 he has not responded. It would seem if a customer took the time to contact the owner due to issues with his employees to include necessitating a Cecil County Sheriffs response you would respond and engage said customer? I am really a pretty reasonable person, but when staff give me the proverbial middle finger when I speak to them and then another staff member physically assaults me I tend to become a lot less reasonable. Updates below in reverse order by date: 5/9/24 UPDATE: Maryland State Police (MDSP) came out and looked at the vehicle and it passed. The MDSP treated me like a valued customer. I sent a review to MDSP telling them how much I appreciated their assistance and explained that even if they failed the vehicle I would have accepted that answer because of the professionalism exhibited by the MDSP. The MDSP did not verbally abuse me, talk down to me, or physically assault me. As for the business I hear crickets, which speaks volumes to their actual business practices. 5/7/24 UPDATE: Took the vehicle to another shop for a 2nd opinion and they confirmed what I thought, which is their mechanic is incorrect. Unfortunately I guess I will need to contact Maryland State Police Inspection Folks and see what my recourse is. ORIGINAL REVIEW: If you want to risk being assaulted by their staff take your vehicle to them. They are verbally abusive when you question their work. When they get their feelings hurt then they decide to assault you. Never again will I take or recommend anyone to use this shop. I don't care how heated the discussion gets you don't assault your customers.
