He did my root canal on short notice ON NEW YEARS EVE because I had an abcess. My hygienist is Amy. She's so good! She's smart and gets the job done while making me feel as comfortable as she can. Don't go anywhere else! This group will fix you up without selling you a bunch of services you don't need. If you call ahead of time and ask if they take your insurance, they'll tell you up front. My wife had an appointment on Sept 24 so I call and asked if I could see someone on that date. They said someone would get back with me, no call. I went with my wife to her appointment and asked to reschedule my appointment that they had cancelled for Sept 11. I was told they could see me in FEBUARY. They had previously tried to do an implant for me last year but told me there was not enough bone. My dentist told me to get second opinion. I went to Kingsport and now have two good implants. I didn't want to go back to Kingsport because of the distance but this place has left me no choice.

I then asked nicely if she could describe their product and what made it special to justify the cost. I told her I wanted to compare it with a less expensive mouth guard product I had purchased from another dentist. While she was describing their product she started to speak in a smart aleck tone. I told her that she was not be very professional speaking like that. Her response was telling me that I should just buy the mouth guard from the other dentist and then hung up.

Then, he arranged for his staff to come in a for a few extra hours the following week so he could see my wife and three kids. He and his staff have been great, even helping sort out some weirdness with insurance sending checks to me instead of to them. One review of one star here is not a basis whereby anyone makes a decision. Grace Dental has a five star average with over 600 reviews over on Google. That's the real story, not a review that frankly, I find suspect in its description. There has to be some other thing going on there. (She even says she had been going to Dr. Thomas for years.) I'm adding mine because Grace Dental doesn't deserve the rating shown on Yelp right now. I give them an enthusiastic thumbs up.

Today, as a self pay patient, the doctor and his staff once again treated me with the utmost respect, were willing to consider my financial situation (instead of pushing me into something), and worked with me to get a treatment plan that suited me, my finances, and the future of my teeth. I've had extractions, cleanings, and root canals at Dr Moore's office, and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable, I just won't go anywhere else. I haven't needed it, but they do provide sedation dentistry for folks who have a dental fear. I would recommend them to anyone. His office is on Roan right next to Boones Creek Pharmacy (another great local business), he's a Tennessee native, and a veteran. Make an appointment.

This is a hard mix to find, especially in the medical profession. I was particularly impressed with my parents' last visit. This practice has taken all of the necessary steps to protect their patients against COVID-19. For example, we waited in the car until it was time for my parents' appointment. Staff came wearing masks to the car and escorted my parents inside and returned my parents at the end of the appointment. Also, staff took the time to explain the results of their exam to me and invited me to use their restroom or bring coffee back to our car while I waited. This was a very nice touch. My parents and Johnson City are very fortunate to have Dr. Moore's practice.
