On two different occasions I ordered masonry sand and what was delivered was a mixture of sand and gravel, which made it impossible for my guys to make mortar. I was forced to sift the sand by hand. On both occasions I called to tell them and nothing was done to rectify the situation. I won't be doing business with them ever again. read more

This is the second time we've done business with Scott Proffitt and won't be the last. We had great topsoil delivered earlier this year and some driveway gravel delivered today..we had a bit of a problem where it was placed ( we missed connecting directly with the driver) but they came out took a look and said they would come back and take care of it. Shortly they showed up and in a few minutes had everything ship shape. They even called by partner to give her an update on what was happening. Great customer service and support. I would not recommend Scott profit for getting Stone especially for your yard I am disabled I informed him that I needed maintenance free he brought in topsoil weed barrier and stone that he got from a field which had tons of seed in it my father passed I was gone for 4 months came home weeds as tall as the trunk of my car all through the driveway on the berm through the rock drain all over the backyard I called him mark his office manager said we could spray and I said and who's going to pick all the dead weeds Scott profit would never call come out to the home to see what mess he created took me 36 hours to pick all these weeds then every season which is spring and the rain weeds all over the yard again all throughout the backyard and all the gravel sprayed it next season something else growing picking weeds calling Scott profits office to get him to come out every season well 2024 spring tons of rain I got this new plant over a foot tall from one end of my yard every square inch I sent him pictures I said you have the ability to come and get this rock out of my yard and your weed barrier and I will plant seed in the soil and just have grass. No response what a damn well knew was the dirt from The Rock created the seed to take root every single season spring summer something else popped up took me 6 months between the rain the heat and my health issues to get that out of my yard no sooner that's gone something new is growing everywhere he put the soil and the stone brought weeds into my yard that have never been here his worker then took the crapstone that he put in my backyard then he covered my beautiful ship driveway creating a massive weed as stated earlier I reiterate strongly do not get Stone from Scott prophet his unprofessional unethical and had no interest in cleaning up the mess he created what I should have done the first time I came home and saw that mess I should have just said see you in court so much for civil decent human beings doing the right thing well I strongly believe in karma and may it hit him hard. I called for a load of dirt, key word DIRT. This was so I could back fill around a pool. they over charged me $250 and delivered a load of complete stone out of a rock quarry. So I went there to tell them they did not bring what I asked for all I got was that's tough from them. Good company unless there's a problem. I've used Proffitt's several times previously and have been happy with their prices and service. Recently I placed an order for landscaping stone. Shortly after the delivery I noticed stains in my driveway from what appeared to be hydraulic fluid. There were well over 100 stains, ranging from pebble size up to the diameter of a baseball. The stains ran the full length of my driveway which is approximately 100 feet long and mirrored the exact path the truck took to back into my yard. The next business day I contact Proffitt's and spoke with a person who told me she would have to "run this by Scott". A few days passed with no return call so I called again. Spoke with the same person and asked what was being done to rectify the damage done to my driveway. Based on this conversation it appeared that the owner and at least one of his staff members were aware of this problem. At their request, I provided video of the truck in my driveway dropping the stone and also of all the stains in the driveway. I was told that the earliest they could come out to clean up would be in three days. Three days came and went with no response or return phone call. It appears at this point (almost 2 weeks) that nothing is going to be done to rectify the accidental damage done. In business integrity is everything.
