I had already filled out the forms online so that saved a lot of time. First, I had x-rays taken and cleaning done by Gina who was very friendly and competent. Then, Dr Espinoza who was also very polite and friendly did the check up and recommendations. The office is in a quieter area of Bayonne so there was no problem finding street parking being that I'm a resident. Make sure you have a resident pass. If you're visiting from another town I would suggest parking on Broadway (metered parking). I'll keep going to Bayonne Smiles for my regular check up and treatment and will update my review afterwards.

Dr alter has Sunday hours in the early morning, and that's so convenient for kids who play sports. Dr alter is really gentle and caring and checks on your comfort throughout your procedure. Although this place was quite far from where I live, the location was still convenient for me since my uncle lives in Bayonne. After reading through the article about Dr. Lee, I simply decided to book an appointment before their opening promotion end. I now think that it was a great choice as Dr. Lee was not only professional and knowledgeable, but also very nice and chill. This office has a CT machine that provides a cool 3D image of my entire mouth- plus, it is for free as a grand opening promotion. Also, this 1 hour free exam was very thorough with Dr. Lee 's explanations for a person who has no idea about dentistry like me. The doctor found one cavity on my upper tooth, and I was lucky enough to get the filling done immediately. Throughout my visit today, Dr. Lee and the front desk staffs, Edwin and I forgot the other person's name, were all very easy-to-approach and polite to me. The fact that I thought was the best feature here compared to other dental/medical places was the wait time. I did not have to wait too long to see the dentist for the first time- maybe it's because it's new? One last thing I would like to mention is parking. Unfortunately, it does not have a private parking space, but I didn't have any trouble finding a spot for free street parking. I think it has fewer cars around that I don't think I will spend more than 5 min looking for a spot anyways. Overall, I definitely recommend others to come and get a free exam from Dr. Lee. Def take the benefits before they go away...

Their website (or ad) states they accept emergency visits and my insurance, yet they refused to treat him because they couldn't verify my insurance on the weekend. Instead of helping relieve his pain or offer a reasonable solution, they told me we'd have to pay $450-$600 out of pocket, with no guarantee of reimbursement. They showed no real concern for the urgency of husbands situation or the pain he was in. If you're in severe pain and expecting actual emergency care--as advertised--be warned. They seem more focused on upfront payments than helping patients.

Dental Associates took my insurance and was able to get me in for an emergency appointment the same day. After some x-rays, the doctor examined me and listened very carefully to what my concerns were. At the time I was in horrible pain from an infection, but I wasn't swollen and the x-ray was not showing any issues with the tooth. I ended up having to go for a root canal, but at the time I was now clearly swollen and had to wait for an antibiotic to kick in. The next day I had to go to a local oral surgeon to have the abscess drained. A week later, I had the root canal completed. As far as waiting times, I would say they are no better or worse than any other dental office I have visited. As far as the office being "dirty" I completely disagree. It is not fancy, but it is definitely NOT dirty.
