Had a really great experience working with Tu & his team on a home purchase earlier this year. Melody & the rest of the team were highly professional, patient and helpful throughout the process as well. Highly recommend!

I was contacted on Jan 28, 2020 regarding a loan officer assistant job . My background is extensive…read moresales in multiple industries, including mortgage . I was intrigued with this challenge and learning a different side of mortgage . I was interviewed and hired by Tu Phan as a loan officer in training for 90 days . This was my first full time job after rehabilitation for 2 years from a jaws of life car wreck and as a brain injury survivor. I still had some cognitive impairment but my new employer said he was looking forward to showing me the successful way and shared his humbling story . It was a small office and close to home . My co-workers were very warm and friendly at first . I was eager to learn everything. I took many notes in training and it was the best training I have ever experienced in any industry. I learned something new every day . I was pretty much on my own , I felt uncomfortable asking questions at times but that's how you learn . I thought I had found a great fit and excellent leadership with integrity. In late February I was getting sick . There were like 3 people sick and coughing and I kept taking my vitamins . Unfortunately after one urgent drs visit for covid 19 symptoms, I was asked to quarantine for 14 days , I lived with my son and my Dad . They had been my caregivers for years . On March 28, on my only son's bday , I was rushed to the Er with breathing issues and every covid 19 symptom but a fever . I did have chills bad and was very sick . Our company was offering covid pay to any employees effected . I was asked to work remote from there on . Still I'm new working hard to earn all my badges through training , and I did finish successfully. I got 10 days of sick pay and returned to work remotely like all the staff . I got an email from my boss on April 8, asking if I was o.k. he had family and the team to alert . The irony of this is I was healthy before I came to Fairway . The Tigard office was shut down because an employee had Covid 19 . I was recovering and still had bronchitis, my covid test was negative . I was so relieved ! As was my dad and son . A lot to take on with a new demanding job . On April 17, I was working on my first loan with my assigned loan officer Nancy . It was the evening time around 8 pm . We had a conversation I was excited to get to know my mentor . Except she was the total opposite. She was very demeaning towards me and told me I better not screw up . She asked me if I even knew what I was doing ? She was bossy . I told her I answered to Tu Phan and was still training . She was new at a time just like me . She had no empathy, the conversation was cold . I was very hurt and was working hard passing every quiz and being treated poorly . I had a brain injury and was doing my best . The next day the loan closed and I was fired . I was in shock . My benefits just kicked in the day before . No reason given . I just I got sick from this office then after I got sick pay I was fired . There are great people here . Brian is an Epic LOA. He said it takes a long time to learn everything and to keep it up . Andy, Jim, and the rest of the team I felt at home until I got sick . That's when everything shifted . I was let go and I'm still fighting for unemployment 4 months later . My son and I are struggling I've had health issues since and I'm working part time . This whole situation has showed me that not everyone has integrity. People stab you in the back and move on . As for Nancy , I hope she feels good about verbally abusing the new girl . The values the Core Values the company stands for , I never witnessed this . The other trainee was way older than me very nice and helpful . He was treated great by management. He got help a lot and no eye rolls if he asked a question . I'm hurt to this day and I will never pursue mortgage again . This branch people were sick , then when I got sick I got fired . I'm a single mom whose bills are high and I was definitely mistreated . I've been in management positions before I was a great leader helping my team . I was told I was on my own here they were too busy and too stressed . How can one even succeed with this atmosphere? A manager should be a coach , a teacher . I did my best for 2 months , I never got a fair shot to be my best . I'm driven and sharp I will find a good fit in the near future . I am a good person .
