Been with OnPoint for nearly 15 years and never once had an issue. Someone skimmed my debit card information and drained my account, it was difficult to get OnPoint to review the fraud case in any detail. Their initial review was very basic and they denied me without gathering any information. I had to follow up with OnPoint numerous times for them to re-review the case, all the while they just tell me to keep waiting. I had to send them notes to check cameras at ATMs and provide them documentation they should have gathered if there was any research done. Didn't seem to have interest in making a difficult time any easier. Be weary of their fraud department and don't take their word for anything, do your research if you have been defrauded as the internet provides much more info then OnPoint's fraud dept. read more

Back in February I need a loan so I could help pay for my dogs medical expenses. I had asked to take a loan out for $2000 at the time it was not expressed well enough that with a 680 credit score it would not be enough to get that loan instead I was shut down. with a person who had horrible attitude, I will not say names as I would like to stay neutral sometime goes by score drops down to 420. I had to find a different place that would offer me alone so I could put my dog down. When I spoke to OnPoint 3 to 4 weeks back, I had already snow Balled in debt due to having to take a loan out through a separate loan company that had an interest rate of 35%. OnPoint then when I went in said I could use green path as an option to consolidate my debt at the same time they said that they would be giving me a call back from this branch so I could speak with the branch manager about my experience instead today, I get the assistant manager, who seems super pleased to speak with me on top of that she tried to rush me off of the phone with run-of-the-mill answers and in the end as the customer/consumer was in the wrong my family has been with OnPoint for over 40 years and this has left the most sour taste in my mouth do not go to this branch have way more options at other branches surrounding the area especially Johnson Creek. They are the best. I will never go to this community credit union ever again because of the member services because now the assistant manager. read more

This bank has wasted hours of my time through their ignorant policies. I have cashed many checks from a client at this location only to have them leave me at the counter for 20+ minutes because of a signatory error. They treated me like a criminal and wasted 30 minutes of my time instead of just being open with me. If I hadn't already cashed a dozen checks at this branch from the same client I would understand their caution, but the manager justified his disrespect of my time with security policy. This bank would rather try to arrest potentially violent criminals inside the branch, putting all staff and clients in jeopardy, then be upfront with people about issues with a check. So I guess if you don't mind having your safety at risk because of bank managers with hero complex who won't be upfront with people this is absolutely the credit union for you. Could just as easily write individuals license plates down and notify authorities but that makes too much sense I'm guessing. read more

Been with OnPoint for many years and much prefer my credit union over a large financial institution. Always friendly service and generally a short wait time. Phone banking has easy access to reach a live person as well. Nothing but good to say. read more

Just left after a rather saddening transaction. Trying to pay rent and my fiance needed me to cash her check. The very unhelpful clerk with shaved sides of head tells me it is a managers job to decide if I can cash or not and then doesn't offer to get a manager but instead tells me that I can't without her here. She gets off work when the bank closes and this is my one day where I am off with hours to go to a bank. Still like the 205 location but this has really soured my experience with this location. read more

Terrible customer service - had a dispute over a check written from an OnPoint account to an OnPoint account and then reversed a week after processing - the rep basically sat back in his chair and mumbled about how they wouldn't do anything and that they 'weren't taking sides' despite having stolen money out of our account. We closed our personal and business account immediately, no attempt was made to keep us as a customer. Honestly it felt more like a morgue, it was clear that every person we interacted with hated their job. We went straight to Wells Fargo and the contrast was night and day, everyone shook our hands, greeted us with warm smiles, and took genuine interest. I had always been taught that credit unions care more but clearly now I know better. read more

So disappointed with the service I've received at Onpoint the past few times I've called them. They used to have the best customer service which is why I went with them years ago to begin with. The gal I spoke with recently had no interest in helping me resolve an issue in which another Onpoint representative had told me incorrect information the last time I called leading to a fee being added to my account. She wouldn't remove the fee even though the previous gal informed me incorrectly and said there was nothing she could do. I've been a member there for almost ten years which evidently doesn't mean a thing. I'll be looking for other banking options. read more

Well been a member for almost a year now and have had zero problems! opening the accounts was a breeze really nice lady can't remember name. I was switching over from chase bank as they want to charge for everything, when I had a totally free account when it was WAMU. Also just applied for Onpoints rewards card and was approved :) Becca in the credit department was really nice and followed up very quickly going to be hanging in for the long run. Also would like to say that every time I walk into the Clackamas branch tellers are always nice have not had any issues. read more

Warning! I have been a happy member for about 20 years. After telling 30 or more people about how great they are and 20 or so joining (along with my own children) and thanking me for the referral. Sadly now, since they changed online companies I no longer can refer this onetime leader of community banking. I am embarrassed about what my friends have had to go thru to pay bills onetime and keep their credit from suffering. My personal experience with multipul accounts there has been a lot of phone time working thru glitches and money going into wrong accounts. After many friends leaving this CU I find myself at the point of looking for a trustworthy institution that isn't always trying to cover up their mess and care about their members again. Please help with ideas of Bank or CU that has a solid online system and cares about members. TY, Terry read more

I am happy to say that Onpoint has improved. They have clearly hired more tellers, and more phone support. It seems they are finally catching up with the growth. There is still work to be done, but I am much more content with the service I receive in this branch now read more

I switched to Onpoint about 10 years ago from US Bank, for many years we had a great relationship. They even worked with my best friend and I when we found out that the car dealership she bought her car from made me the buyer and her the cosigner, meaning her credit was gaining no benefit. We didn't find this out until we went to refinance at Onpoint after a year with a ridiculous APR because they used her credit score instead of mine. It turned out that her credit wasn't good enough to take on the loan, so they asked if I would be ok putting the loan under my name with her continuing to make the payments. This sounded fantastic... Fast forward to this year, when after dealing with major health problems for 3 years straight, and financially struggling, I ended up having to file bankruptcy. I felt so defeated in this. But I felt like the light at the end of the tunnel was my friend and I would both be able to keep our cars. Prior to filing bankruptcy, I called two Onpoint branches to make sure my auto loans were NOT "cross collateralized," basically meaning both car loans and my credit card were all connected. I happily reported this to my attorney and decided to proceed with my bankruptcy. After filling, I received a letter stating the cars and the card WERE cross collateralized. Not wanting to pay off the credit card as I cannot afford it, I was assured by on point that I could not reaffirm my credit card and return my truck, leaving my friends care alone, she just might not get the title. Which we were ok with. Not a big deal, she has no plans on selling the car. She continued to make the payments after I filed and went to court, her remaining balance on the car as of today is $120.52 which will be paid on 12/23/19. Well to my surprise, when on point called me yesterday,12/19/19, the Bankruptcy department said they were calling to set up repossession of BOTH VEHICLES. I was told Multiple times my vehicles were in the clear. Then I was told multiple times my friends car, which is only on my account because Onpoint wasn't ok with giving her the loan, was going to be fine, just might not receive the title. Now they want Her car too. Hopefully Onpoint can make this right. She is also an Onpoint member, along with many of my family members. After this already awful, degrading thing, was made even WORSE by this financial institution lying on multiple occasions, I will be insisting they bank elsewhere, and will never again recommend someone get loans through them. read more

I thought a credit union would be better but am not impressed. The people can be nice but they have added more fees, aren't always helpful with problems and changed available credit with NO notice. I would switch if I had the time and energy. read more

The bank was pretty standard until I moved out of state and had to get a new card. My money has been stuck in my account for three weeks. First off the lady who canceled my card didn't think it was important enough to send me a new one. It took a ridiculous amount of time for me to actually get the card. And on top of that they send the pin in a separate envelope and I still haven't gotten it. I had the pin sent to me twice in a two week period and still nothing. It's now going on week three. I have no food in my house. I had to borrow money to pay rent. And every time I called I was basically told there was nothing anyone can do. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with any sort of bank. I will be closing my account and I would not recommend anyone to this bank. read more
