We just had a surprise party for our daughter's 5th birthday and hired The Great Scott as the entertainment. We were a little worried about finding something that would be fun for our daughter, while keeping the attention of our 9-year-old and our friends' 3-year-old. We had a wide range of ages and attention spans, to say the least! However, as soon as the show began, we knew we had a big hit with The Great Scott. All of the kids, and, well, the adults too, were laughing hysterically in an instant. We all went from laughing one minute to being mesmerized the next. The tricks would seem sort of simple but then there was always a head shaking twist that would confound us all. Which was great as we had a 7 year-old skeptic in the audience that was kept in check! The Great Scott put on a 45 minute show in which kids and adults alike were not just entertained, but were completely captivated. We all had a blast! At the conclusion of the show he made balloon figures for each of the kids which then provided round 2 of birthday party entertainment. All in all, a huge success and a super fun afternoon celebrating our daughter thanks to the talents of The Great Scott! read more

Scott is the best! He is engaging, flexible, thoughtful and 100% focussed on ensuring the experience is memorable. I spent 9 months in the Middle East as a member of the Army Reserve and wanted to do something special to surprise my 6 year old triplets at their elementary school. Scott immediately "got it" and planned the perfect surprise that built up to an incredible moment. He was also an excellent ambassador to the school to ensure every aspect of the surprise was expertly synchronized. Scott, thank you!!!! read more

We called Scott for our daughter's 6th birthday tea party. He responded promptly, was friendly and funny, yet professional. He arrived on time and ,even though he was greeted by 12 super excited (and slightly impatient) little girls, he quickly engaged the crowd, and had both children and adults oohing and aahing and giggling in no time. I have heard back from several parents that their kids are still proclaiming that to be the best party ever. Most importantly, our daughter was THRILLED. So, mission accomplished, and 5 stars from us. Thanks, Scott! read more

The Great Scott was brilliant! We could not have been happier. He performed at my daughter's 6th birthday party at our home, for a group of 36 children and quite a few adults, too. The kids were rapt for an entire 45 minutes, and the adults who watched all or part of the show (maybe 20?) were laughing out loud. His tricks were terrific and his humor and rapport with the kids was the best. He checked in by phone a few times before the party, which was great because I was nervous about space issues. He was right on time, set up and tore down quickly, was flexible with start time (a few kids were late) and an unexpected increase in the number of audience members. From the minute I contacted him, he was completely professional and very easy to work with. I dropped my daughter off at school today and several parents reiterated how great he was and how much fun they had at a "kids'" magic show. I'm sure he'll be hearing from some of the parents who attended. This was money much better spent than for a party at some giant corporate ball/trampoline pit, IMO. :) Many thanks!! read more

So we looked online for a magician and I really didn't feel comfortable having someone strange at my home. Then I searched the Yelp reviews and stumbled upon Great Scott. One word...excellent. This guy was able to take a hold of 15 obnoxious kids and not only get their attention, but keep their attention. Kids like magic, but it's difficult to keep the attention of 10 year olds. From beginning to end The Great Scott had everyone's attention. He made the birthday boy feel like it was "his show" and even paid close attention to the siblings. I always thought balloon making was childish, but The Great Scott was making them for "begging" 10-year olds. I recommend The Great Scott and will use him again and refer him with Great Respect!!! read more

I could not have been more impressed with The Great Scott. He did an amazing job at our daughter's fifth birthday party. It was a big party with over 30 children, and The Great Scott had their complete attention the entire time. His show is very creative and he knows just how to keep the kids focused and fascinated throughout the entire performance. He did some special tricks that involved my daughter that she loved (she still treasures the giant coin he gave her). After his performance, he stayed and made balloon animals/objects until every single kid got one. As the final piece, he made a giant balloon bicycle for my daughter. She absolutely loved it. The Great Scott isn't the cheapest performer in town, but he's worth every penny. If you want to your kid to have a great party that he/she will remember (as will all their friends and parents), book The Great Scott. read more

We recently had Scott perform at my daughter's birthday party and it was a great show! Scott was prompt, informative, and handled rowdy 8 year olds very well. The magic was clever and there was a lot of humor. The adults were impressed and enjoyed the show just as much as the kids. We would recommend Scott to anyone looking for some good family entertainment. read more

We brought Scott Green in to put on two 45 minute shows for kids ages 4 and 5 also 6 and 7. As a summer camp (Summer at Latin Day Camp), we were looking for a show that was interactive, engaging, humorous, and flexible when it comes to interacting with the kids. Well with Scott...the kids were SO INTO his show. They were laughing and interested and on their toes throughout the whole thing. The kids loved him and from an event coordinating standpoint, Scott was a pleasure to work with. He was quick on emails/calls, called in advance to confirm the show and times, set up and tear down relatively fast, and all around was well worth every penny (especially the ones he pulled out of the kids noses!). He's great at what he does and I would recommend him to any parent, camp, library, or school that is looking for a great show that the kids will LOVE! read more

The Great Scott performed at my daughter's first birthday party. He had the immense task of entertaining over 100 guests, with more than 40 of them being children. He hit it out of the park. Everyone was entertained, as the show went on the room got quieter, as everyone was enjoying the show. He included my 8 year old and 5 year old in the show as well, which was a bonus for them. They loved every minute of it. Whenever I talk to friends about my daughter's party, they never fail to mention how great they thought the magician was. That's all Scott! Thanks Scott! PS: The stage was a nice touch to make the show feel even more authentic. Loved it. read more

Our 5 year old was in a body cast for 3 months and some friends sent The Great Scott to our home for some bedside entertainment. We invited some other elementary age friends, plus our other kids ages 2 and 3. IT WAS AWESOME. Everyone, at any age (yes, parents included) were laughing and amazed the entire time. Our son felt totally speciaI and Scott had made a point of learning the names of everyone in our family and incorporated the entire audience into his show. I cannot give him enough stars!! read more

He's outstanding. My daughter and I saw him at a 7-year-old's birthday party yesterday. To be honest, before we got there I wondered how 30 kids would devastate my friends' home. The Great Scott kept them all in rapt attention, mixing together humor, showmanship, and fun magic tricks to create a room full of laughter and wonder. The parents were universally in stitches. It was fantastic. My daughter has been talking about magic for 24 hours straight. Her own birthday is in two weeks and I'm so tempted to scrub our original plans and hire The Great Scott instead. read more

The Great Scott is amazing. He just did a birthday party for my seven-year-old. There were about 14 kids from 4 to 13 years old and about 15 parents. He had us all cracking up. The kids were rolling around on the floor laughing. The tricks were fantastic, but his jokes were even better. Although the real magic was his ability to keep all of the kids in line. Literally, he put down a line of blue tape that no one could pass. Scott also did a great job making my birthday girl (and her sister) feel special. We definitely plan on hiring him again. read more

I recently hired Scott for a a large family program at a public library - 150 kids and parents loved it! His combination of comedy and illusion had perfect appeal for the preschool through elementary school kids! read more

Scott is a pure professional, goofy gang leader, a slight of hand master. "My 8 year old says that he was really funny and had really good magic, and that Bunny was hilarious." He readily entertained a mix group of 5 and 8 year olds, and adults, with ease, charm and humor. His customer service and responsiveness were beyond expectations. He was with us every step of the way. A can't-go-wrong option!! read more

The Great Scott is not only a Great Performer, but he is a Great Person as well. I've seen The Great Scott perform at least 5 times. He does a very entertaining show for our annual block party. Recently I hired him for my son's 7th Harry Potter themed birthday. He was able to keep kids as young as 3 and as old as 10 completely enthralled. We have another son with some sensory issues. He was very disruptive to the show and had to be led out kicking and screaming. The Great Scott completely endeared me when, after the show, he asked if our disruptive son could come back so he could do a special trick just for him. He reached out to him on his own accord. He was not informed beforehand that our son has issues. I was touched that he would spend extra time and effort to make him feel special. read more

Scott performed for my 2 daughters birthday (8 and 5 years old). We had a total of 20 people, half kids and half adults. He kept everyone quite entertained for the hour - with funny quips for the kids and humor that also appealed to the adults. Tricks were solid and befuddled both kids and adults alike. My one daughter was able to make invisible coins appear to drop in a bucket and my oldest daughter levitated in front of her friends. Scott was a solid professional, easy to work with and delivered as advertised. read more

Literally our best birthday yet. Perfect for 8 year-old boys and 75-year-old grandparents, and pretty much everyone in between. He's like a good Pixar movie that hits on a couple levels. Goofy for the kids, smart puns and a bit of absurdist humor for the parents. Magic show with comedy that kept the kids guessing, laughing and intrigued throughout. Plus he's a nice reliable guy who made the process of a home bday party simple and easy. read more

Scott did our 9-year-old's birthday party today. It was awesome ! The crowd was doubled over laughing throughout the show. My son is very shy, and Scott had my son participate in the show for a trick. My son said later that he felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience. Scott engaged the audience very well. His jokes were funny, the magic was good, and he was well worth the $. Great job Great Scott ! read more

Scott was simply fantastic. First he took time out of his schedule and his family during a holiday to be at our event. Second, He was responsive during the scheduling of the event and right on time the night of our event. Finally, Scott was easy to work with and most importantly he was a spectacular entertainer. The entire crowd, young and old, was impressed. We will recommend Scott to anyone we know looking for a terrific entertainer and magician. read more

I am very impressed with Scott's professionalism. He's so easy to laugh with! I had a roaring living room with mostly adults and the kids felt so special. From the arrival to the departure we were all smiles. Great way to throw a party for Kids or Adults!! read more

Scott was a huge hit at our twins' 7th birthday party. Kids were literally rolling on the floor laughing. Reviews from the our two: Daughter - "He's very good at magic and very funny and he made a lot of people laugh." Son - "He's the awesomest magician there is." read more

Scott was just perfect. Our daughter's birthday is in the dead of winter, and we've had blizzards most of her birthdays since she was born. We obviously had to do something indoors. We had further problems in that most of the good indoor party venues for kids were all booked up well over a month in advance for the weekends, and my husband wasn't available on the weekends anyway. I saw Scott perform at another party and gave him a call, and he made the obvious suggestion (which somehow hadn't occurred to me) that we have her party on a Friday afternoon at our house. So that's exactly what we did. My daughter just turned five, and this was the first birthday for which we threw a real party. I think she was thrilled to have it at our house instead of some other venue (it made the party feel more like it was "hers" and she also got to show everyone her bedroom!). Scott's magic show was the big activity of the party, and he was an absolute hit with both the kids and the other parents. My daughters had just seen his show a month earlier at said other party, but they were delighted to see it again. Scott's sense of humor is more deadpan than goofy or silly, but it works surprisingly well with the kids and is very different from the type of humor to which they're accustomed. He is a parent, but he also seems naturally attuned to what the kids like and how they want to be treated. They especially appreciated being able to participate in his magic tricks, and being an active rather than a passive audience. I'll admit to grumbling a little bit about the price tag (we only invited a few kids because our house isn't that big so it seemed like a lot to spend), but in the end the party was a great success and my daughter felt like a proud host. So the money was well spent, and we'll definitely have the Great Scott back for future parties. read more

We hired The Great Scott to perform at the birthday party for our 4 year old and 2 year old boys. We had about 36 kids and almost as many adults at the party. Every kid and adult was laughing and fully engaged in the show! My boys had huge smiles on their faces and really enjoyed themselves! The Great Scott arrived in time and set up an adorable stage for himself in our basement. My husband and I were able to sit back, relax and enjoy the show! We would absolutely recommend The Great Scott for your child's next birthday party!!! The show was age appropriate and the tricks were perfect for a preschool audience! read more

We hired Scott for our Mom's 90th birthday party. Extended family and guests ranged from 9 months to 90 years. Everyone enjoyed the show! The little ones sat up front and enjoyed interacting with Scott (pick a card, etc). He has a fun and witty patter that appealed to all ages. The card tricks and sleight of hand tricks were really well done. Additionally, Scott is well-organized, prompt, and professional. I would not hesitate to hire him again. read more

We recently hired the Great Scott to perform at my daughter's 4th birthday party. He was awesome! His staging and props are professional and kid friendly, and they also get the kids excited for the show. At our party, the kids ranged in age from 2-6 and they all loved him. He tailored the show perfectly to the age of the audience and had them all engaged and laughing for the entire show. He also does a nice job of showcasing the birthday child through involvement in the act. He did balloon animals after the magic show, which the kids loved too. He worked really hard and deserved his fee, which seems comparable to similar performers we have hired. Scott was easy to work with and very self sufficient. I would absolutely recommend him. read more

Scott performed at my daughter's birthday party for 25 crazy 5 year olds. Not only did he keep them seated and interested for the entire show, he had them mystified and rolling with laughter! Scott's show is really, really funny for parents too. He is timely, professional and really approachable. My daughter can be shy. Scott was aware of it and made her super comfortable. To our surprise, he had her involved in the show and laughing all along! I truly can't say enough good things about him. read more

The Great Scott was really great - his name fits him well! We hired Scott to perform at my 4-year old son's birthday/adoption party. There were 25 kids from 3 to 10 years old and 45 adults. The party was in a restaurant banquet room and I was very concerned what I would do to keep the kids entertained without a lot of running around. I am so thrilled that I was able to book Scott for our party. He held everyone's attention throughout the show. Scott had everyone laughing and entertained. The kids sat in their chairs amazed and belly laughing for over 45 minutes (along with the adults) and then lined up for balloon sculptures. Also, Scott proved his magic abilities by being able to get my son on stage and participate in a magic trick. It was not my son's personality to do something like that - my jaw dropped! It was so cute to watch. I just want to honestly say that The Great Scott saved the day and made the party a success - everyone was asking where I found him. Thank you Scott!!! read more
