Nick came to my husband's 70th birthday party. Guests ranged in age from 80-25. At the end of the evening, all my guests found me to tell me how fantastic Nick was. Not only did his tricks blow them away, there was a point in the evening where we were laughing so hard we were crying. I would not hesitate to recommend him. Everyone loved him. We had a very disparate group, and he was able to bring people together and make the evening the overwhelming success that it was. read more

We hired him for a corporate event and was a little skeptical because magicians usually have corny jokes and their tricks are lame..we had the home or of meeting Nick and Stephen and boy they were hilarious, entertaining, personable and his magic was awesome. Everyone in the office kept talking about them and trying to figure out how he managed to get the card in his mouth or the wine glass with fruits popping out of it. (Wished I recorded that one!) this was one of the best work outings I've ever been too!! Thanks Nick and Stephen!!! You guys were great! read more

We hired Nick for our wedding in September. He is a true professional! I initially interviewed 3 other magicians for the job. We were drawn to Nick's energy. He definitely did not disappoint! From our magic welcome to tableside magic, the guests were in constant amazement. A month later, guests are still talking about the amazing time they had! Nick added that extra special touch to our wedding. Thank you Nick! We'll be seeing you at the Magic Penthouse once it opens back up!:) read more

Nick is absolutely fantastic. Not only is his magic mind-blowing but he is also the coolest and most fun guy I have ever met. The way he interacts with the crowds is very unique. Because of his outstanding personality he quickly turns a room with 50 strangers into a big party. Very impressive! read more

BE AMAZED Magicians are cool but Nick is a lot cooler! Recently I attended an event in Vegas where I saw a close up magician at a party. I was amazed and told my wife all about it. My wife always loves taking our parties to the next level. So she decided to search Yelp for the best close up magician in Chicago and she scored big when she found Nick. Nick was incredibly professional. He arrived on time and interacted with all of our guests after he arrived. Our show was suppose to start at 6:45 but Nick didn't rush us at all. He mingled and calmly waited for us to give him the go. I loved how calm he was even though he had another magic show after ours at a different location. My wife had told Nick I had a magic trick planned and Nick thought it would be a great idea. I decided to be Nick's warm-up act. I loved that Nick thought that this would be fun. Some magicians would have had an ego and would not be receptive to sharing a stage but Nick encouraged me to do it. So I was the warm up act and it was a lot of fun. Every great stage performer needs an opening act and I was Nick's. Thanks for humoring me. My trick came off well and everyone laughed. It was now time for Nick to take the stage. We told Nick that we wanted him to work the room. That is the best part about close up magic. You can be standing right there and not see how the trick is done. Our guests really loved everything Nick did. In fact, I kept getting questions and statements like: How did you find this guy? He's great! I need his contact information! Can I book him for my kids party? When guests are asking me these questions within the first 5 minutes of Nick's show I knew we hired the right magician. A great magician never reveals there tricks and I want to respect Nick's craft. I wish I could tell you all of his tricks but I don't want to ruin his show, in case you hire him. I will tell you that he truly amazed us all. Many of our guests were part of the act and that was so much fun. Nick even did a trick with me and honestly I do not know how he did it. Let's just say I had a coin in my hands and it then appeared on my shoulder. What? Honestly how did he do that? See it is so hard for me not to share all of the magical things I saw. Nick is also great with all age groups. Our party was mixed with kids, family and friends and Nick amazed everyone. All of our guests were focused to see what would happen next. After every trick I heard words like: Wow, Fantastic, Incredible, Amazing & How did he do that? I can not wait to see Nick perform again and I hope it is soon. Two of our friends asked me if it was okay if they could book Nick for there next birthday parties. I was like Yes. Maybe I'll get booked as the opening act. Ha! Probably not but I can dream can't I? If you are looking for a unique addition to your next party, then I highly recommend you add Nick. He will amaze all of your guests. In fact, Nick did such an incredible job I have no idea how we top our party next year. read more

Nick is a scholar and gentleman! He also does some magic tricks! We've had Nick perform for us at a few different functions. The guests always enjoy the show that Nick puts out. He is the consummate professional. He can instantly strike up a conversation with a guest or a group of guests. He can mingle in and wow the crowd whether its on stage, at the bar or mixed in with the guests. He won't let you down. If you are looking for a great performance for your event with an awesome magician then Nick is the man for you! read more

We recently had Nick entertain guests at a magazine issue launch party. He was a pleasure to work with, and his passion for the art of magic is undeniable. Nick approached party guests, struck up a conversation with then, and launched into his magic routines seamlessly. Guests were not only pleasantly surprised, but inquired about how to get in touch with him for other events. His wit, talent, charm, and good looks is a great addition to any party, soiree or corporate event. read more

If you're looking for a magician for a special event or otherwise, I highly recommend Nick! Nick helped me pull off a plan for me to propose to my now fiancee and he worked diligently and put my mind at east. I called him literally 1 week beforehand and we spoke the next day at which point he got to work to put together a series of routines that would lead up to the appearance of the ring box. He worked with me and was flexible on what I did and didn't like, did his own brainstorming, and to top it all off he was reasonable in what he charged me as it was a very short performance. Nick is professional, timely, and all of the tricks were awesome! He selected tricks that are good for couples and weaved them in as well which was a nice touch. As a creative I think he was the perfect style for something like a proposal. My fiancee now has a great story to tell and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out ... Thanks Nick for helping turn it into a truly magical evening! (pun intended haha) read more

Nick performed at a charity event I had last month and he couldn't have been easier to work with. He charmed and amazed all the people there with his magic tricks and illusions. He is very likable, gregarious, knows how to work a room and entertain guests. I would highly recommend him for your next event if you want to entertain your guests with some jaw dropping magical talent! read more

We hired Nick for a corporate reception during the NBA All-Star weekend this past February. Nick knocked it out of the park over and over again. We were blown away ! If you are looking for that something extra to add to your gathering, be it a small dinner party or a large reception, Nick is your guy. Our guests are still talking about how fantastic of an illusionist and magician he is. Thank you again Nick!!! read more

Nick is brilliant. Can't say too much more than that. We had 700 people at an event and Nick glided through the room rocking people's world. He is an artist first, but also a consummate professional and an all around fantastic human. His genius as a magician made the event an even bigger hit. I'd recommend him to anyone. You won't be disappointed. read more

I wish I could add a star to to my review! We just had Nick perform for a small party for my parents as their Christmas gift. We usually get my parents theater or show tickets, but as my Dad is battling cancer, bringing the show to him was a terrific option. It was really important to us that the show was fun and engaging and we had the right performer to appeal to the audience. There were about 25 people at the party ranging from ages 40s to 70s. Nick absolutely wow'd them all! The magic was fantastic and I was so impressed on how Nick read the audience and won everyone over. He was the talk of the night (and even the next day) as everyone enjoyed the show tremendously. I wouldn't hesitate to book him for an event in the future. He is a true showman, hilarious and charismatic - we are still laughing just thinking about the time with him!! read more

Met Nick last night at a Super Bowl Party - he is amazing! He casually just blows your mind with his magic yet sweetly taught a trick to an 8-year-old, so he could amaze his friends at school. My ring disappeared and wound up securely on a key ring in a pocket without my ever losing sight of Nick's hands. Two playing cards turned in to one! And he did it all while sitting around talking to a small group. We could see every move he made but we could only define what he accomplished as magical! Absolutely fantastic! Thanks for the entertainment, Nick! read more

I met this guy at a wedding party one night several years ago. He was mingling among the crowd and I did not know that he was a magician. We started talking and he started doing mind blowing magic. He is charismatic and fun to be around. Since that time I have hired Nick to preform at private parties and charity events. All in all I have seen him preform at least six times. His magic is captivating. He is always professional and a smashing hit with the guests. Thanks for all the good times Nick! read more

On a recommendation from a friend, I had Nick come and do closeup magic at our office holiday party. This group is very lowkey and I was worried they'd turn on a magician, but within minutes everyone in the group was glued to Nick. He's an excellent performer, but better yet, he's someone you'd be glad to have as a guest at your party. His vibe is more along the lines of a party guest who surprises everyone with a magic trick rather than a cheesy magician putting on a show. I'd call on him again in a heartbeat. read more

Nick came to my home to perform for my birthday party. It was a party of almost 30 women and Nick wowed us all. He put on an amazing show that shocked us and made us laugh. His magic was fun, engaging and impressive! Not only is Nick an amazing magician but he is also an amazing performer. He is funny, personable and goofy. By the end of the night, we all wanted Nick to hang out for the rest of the party. I highly recommend Nick for any type of gathering. read more

Not only is Nick a great magician, he's just an all-around genuine guy! He has a bevy of tricks and incorporates humor into each act. His style is engaging and he can really work a crowd, easily getting the whole room involved in his tricks! In my personal experiences with Nick's performances, he has been incredibly personable and made sure to move around the room and let all of our guests experience his illusions. We always leave thrilled and stumped by his tricks! Nick is affordable and fun, and highly recommended for all ages! read more

Like most people not knowing the slightest think about hiring a magician-I put my faith in the inter web and found Mr. Nick. Looking for a person that could handle an adult group-that may be harder to entertain then your average six year old party-he did a fabulous job. His sense of humor with a mix of some incredible magic tricks-created a night we will talk about for a long time. Thx for the memories Nick, this man is highly recommended in my book. read more

Nick will dazzle you. Most incredible magician I've ever seen. You won't be disappointed.

Nick is one talented mofo...he's been doing magic for ten years and he's the man ...thank you - Justin Adler Boston,ma

I recently hired Nick for my daughters 16th birthday party at my home in the suburbs, just north of the city. He was going to be "performing" for 25 of her girlfriends and I really had no idea what to be prepared for. That said Nick was very punctual and literally had everyone captivated for 90 min straight!!! Including myself, wife and 2 younger children. He managed to keep it age appropriate, and found a way to include almost every girl that wanted to be part of the show. I viewed some of his stuff on YouTube prior to hiring him and I have to say most of "tricks" were brand new. He was very patient.....and an added benefit was Nick taking time in between setting up the next trick to answer plenty of questions regarding his appearance on The Bachelor" All the girls seemed to enjoy him, it was unique and as far as I'm concerned well worth the money! read more

My girlfriend and I saw Nick at Bub City, Chicago, while on holiday from London. He performed briefly to the whole room and then performed close up magic at individual tables. Roy's performance to the room was very slick, clever and impressive; his close up magic was very engaging and original; and his showmanship throughout was professional and personable. At our table he performed a number of tricks, some of which were fun and original takes on the standard magic repertoire, others which we had not seen before - these were equally great. Whether performing on stage or to small groups I would highly recommend Nick. read more

This show never ceases to amazing me. I have seen it a few times now and he constantly changes it up. If you want to have a night of fun and getting your mind blown I suggest you check him out. read more

If you are looking for someone to wow your friends, do not look any further. I had the privilege of meeting Nick at a magazine event a few weeks ago. The illusions he was doing were incredible. I grew up doing magic and I couldn't figure out any of them. I was so impressed that I called him to swing by a party I was having for my company at American Junkie and my associates were fascinated. It really added something extra special to the event. He is incredibly personable and can really bring a group together. I look forward to enjoying more of his magic in the near future. read more

This dude is just incredible! It's the kind of magic that blows your mind away. I can't understand how he does it! Pure entertainment.

AMAZING - he is awesome.. I seen Nick at a 50th Birthday party - he was really good and entertaining. I called him about doing a "revealing the sex of my new baby" and my revealing party. He came up with the idea - no one expected it. I was out to dinner with my family - he came to the restaurant and acted like he was working for them. Everyone was amazed by all his tricks but how he revealed the sex was way cool. He ask everyone for there attention - asked if they liked his green shirt under his jacket said he wanted to look professional - some said yes - some said no.. then he turned around and said how about this shirt.. He had a pink shirt on that said 'Its a Girl" everyone started to scream and cry of joy - thought that was such a cool way to reveal. Nick came up with the idea.. He then went on to reveal the name. I would recommend him to anyone for an event. He is very personable and very good at what he does. He will make your event a success.. read more

Nick Roy Magic - Revealing party to announce the sex of my new baby... thank you for a great job nick - Magicians Near Me

We had Nick come to the hotel for my daughters bachelorette party in lieu of a stripper... I know it may sound a bit lame to some but we did Harry Potter themed drinks and décor with Nick prior to heading out for a night on the town and all I can say is WOW!!! It was so much fun!!! He was so personable and nice. We had a smaller room but he made it work and had a lot of great magic which produced all kinds of fun souvenirs for her to keep and remember such an amazing weekend before her wedding!!! Thank you Nick for such a fun night!!! read more
