BE AMAZED Magicians are cool but Nick is a lot cooler! Recently I attended an event in Vegas where I saw a close up magician at a party. I was amazed and told my wife all about it. My wife always loves taking our parties to the next level. So she decided to search Yelp for the best close up magician in Chicago and she scored big when she found Nick. Nick was incredibly professional. He arrived on time and interacted with all of our guests after he arrived. Our show was suppose to start at 6:45 but Nick didn't rush us at all. He mingled and calmly waited for us to give him the go. I loved how calm he was even though he had another magic show after ours at a different location. My wife had told Nick I had a magic trick planned and Nick thought it would be a great idea. I decided to be Nick's warm-up act. I loved that Nick thought that this would be fun. Some magicians would have had an ego and would not be receptive to sharing a stage but Nick encouraged me to do it. So I was the warm up act and it was a lot of fun. Every great stage performer needs an opening act and I was Nick's. Thanks for humoring me. My trick came off well and everyone laughed. It was now time for Nick to take the stage. We told Nick that we wanted him to work the room. That is the best part about close up magic. You can be standing right there and not see how the trick is done. Our guests really loved everything Nick did. In fact, I kept getting questions and statements like: How did you find this guy? He's great! I need his contact information! Can I book him for my kids party? When guests are asking me these questions within the first 5 minutes of Nick's show I knew we hired the right magician. A great magician never reveals there tricks and I want to respect Nick's craft. I wish I could tell you all of his tricks but I don't want to ruin his show, in case you hire him. I will tell you that he truly amazed us all. Many of our guests were part of the act and that was so much fun. Nick even did a trick with me and honestly I do not know how he did it. Let's just say I had a coin in my hands and it then appeared on my shoulder. What? Honestly how did he do that? See it is so hard for me not to share all of the magical things I saw. Nick is also great with all age groups. Our party was mixed with kids, family and friends and Nick amazed everyone. All of our guests were focused to see what would happen next. Nick helped me pull off a plan for me to propose to my now fiancee and he worked diligently and put my mind at east. I called him literally 1 week beforehand and we spoke the next day at which point he got to work to put together a series of routines that would lead up to the appearance of the ring box. He worked with me and was flexible on what I did and didn't like, did his own brainstorming, and to top it all off he was reasonable in what he charged me as it was a very short performance. I wish I could add a star to to my review! We just had Nick perform for a small party for my parents as their Christmas gift. We usually get my parents theater or show tickets, but as my Dad is battling cancer, bringing the show to him was a terrific option. It was really important to us that the show was fun and engaging and we had the right performer to appeal to the audience. There were about 25 people at the party ranging from ages 40s to 70s. Nick absolutely wow'd them all! The magic was fantastic and I was so impressed on how Nick read the audience and won everyone over. AMAZING - he is awesome.. I seen Nick at a 50th Birthday party - he was really good and entertaining. I called him about doing a "revealing the sex of my new baby" and my revealing party. He came up with the idea - no one expected it. I was out to dinner with my family - he came to the restaurant and acted like he was working for them. Everyone was amazed by all his tricks but how he revealed the sex was way cool. He ask everyone for there attention - asked if they liked his green shirt under his jacket said he wanted to look professional - some said yes - some said no.. then he turned around and said how about this shirt..
