If you want a funeral home to feel like a dollar general- please use Scott's. Not what it used to be, unfortunately I've proceeded 5 family members at this funeral home. Our 5th was absolutely atrocious. Granted our service was state funded and 2 hours- however what respect is placed on a financial barrier.. ANSWER: Scott's value pack with the interns at 45 minutes. Following my officiating of my grandmas funeral, the employee was holding the door open ready Herd cattle out of their tears and comfort into the lobby. Every time another family member passed an aisle, the hard hearing misplaced gentleman in an oversized suit hard of hearing was certainly there to (I kid you not) "prepare for the next service" as I'm balling in tears with a Bible full of notes commemorating my grandma, still in hand. I am absolutely disgusted and appalled at the caliber of service and respect delivered. Scott's funeral home was historically a place in BRAZORIA county to be proud of receiving a love one and a trustworthy funeral home. I cannot be clear enough In saying DO NOT USE SCOTTS. SCOTTS FUNERAL HOME SINGLY HANDEDLY PROVIDED THE MOST RUSHED UNCOMFORTABLE AWKWARD AND DISTURBING EXPERIENCE EVER. The head staff was literally talking to the main terror employee and pointing at my family while complaining. I am in utter disbelief and disgust at every angle your attempt at a memorable experience is inflated to be. Now you don't see a lot of reviews of Funeral homes here on Yelp. I know it is not a pleasant thing but in that time of need when you don't know were to go I think a review like this might help. It is a nice facility with plenty of parking and the staff seemed courteous. I think they did a good job on the viewing and funeral service I attended there and they even brought all the flowers and plants to our home after the service. I can't speak on cost and such since I was no involved in that but this seems like a good place. read more

My husband of 19 years passed away suddenly, and these people made me feel like a criminal. Not only didn't they even give me the platitude, of I'm so sorry for your loss, but they told me that I couldn't cremate him, (his wishes), without both his mother's permission, granted, but also his estranged father's permission. (Abandoned at age 6). There actions were Totally against state law. When I asked "Christian", how ironic, to give me these laws, he showed me the law that either his mother or father could agree to having him cremated, or his wife. I was his legal wife, but he refused to do business with me. read more

I highly recommend Scott Funeral Home to everyone. A friend suggested this funeral home after my Father passed away. I will forever be grateful and thankful to Kevin and Corey and the rest of the staff there. This was my first funeral I had to plan but they helped me every step of the way.They are very caring and took very good care of my deceased Father. Well Thank GOD, I have never had to go to them for services yet, But I have attended many there and have also heard many fantastic comments about them, their services and the many times they have donated services to indigent families. They have always used the utmost courtesy and have gone out of their way to make sure families feel like they are treated like royalty and with dignity. If you like the smell of death and urine - - -NOT! We attended a memorial service here, and it smelled awful! We dropped our plants and flowers the day before and was aghast at the odor- we thought it was because we used the back entrance marked for floral delivery. We were wrong, the next day the odor was just as foul- so much that we could not stay. There was a candle burning on a table, the restrooms smelled fine, but the foul odor of death and urine was too much for us to take. EEEEEEEK! It putting it mildly. read more
