This is the most disorganized business I've ever dealt with! They presell funeral arrangements and…read moredon't keep records so finding your plan when it's time to bury a loved one is nearly impossible. It meant I overpaid by thousands and it took an act of congress to get a refund. I just can't think of a single reason to use SouthPark. Sadly, they made things harder, not easier.

I recently went on Mother's Day . These vases were down on the ground . How can this be ? Just…read morerecently the grounds called for no lights on premises for your love ones . Disgusting and disappointing & this is after the fact when countless of love one have been having lighting at the markers . We have not only my Son buried here ,but my Father and Mother. I'm disgusted how careless they are at taking care of the grounds. The trash is always over flowing not to mention the fountain dirty green waste . Not having lights at the gravesite shouldn't be an issue . The issue is the carelessness of the individuals who work here. I take care of my Son and Parents so much as cutting around their marker so it wouldn't be harmed what we spent so much money on. If the Lot that is our love one is buried on is not for the funeral to have any rights to . Meaning from flowers to lights to any left on the marker. Your Job that you failed at is keeping the grounds clean around it . These poor families on these photos . I'm sure it's due to lawn keepers negligence when cutting the premises.

The best advice is to plan ahead. Greg Jeter and his staff did a thoughtful and beautiful job…read morecoordinating with my parent's church. The military funeral provided to my father was very special. A lot of money was saved by planning done earlier in life. They have a lovely funeral home, and I've attended funerals at their business location as well. They are respectful, genuine and sincere in the services they provide.

Absolutely disgraceful. From the beginning of planning the funeral for my son to the end I have…read morenever witnessed such unprofessionalism and ineptitude. To start, I was not given a price list for caskets or burial containers as required by law. I was overcharged for death certificates and when I asked I was told that's just how they do the bookkeeping. Who knows what other excessive charges were added in. No kleenexes were supplied anywhere in the building including in the chapel. No water available either. The night of visitation, instead of coming in and saying it was time to close and end it, the lights were turned off on us. I received absolutely no help in writing the program for the service, I had no idea what should be included in it. The day of the service, the speaker system stopped playing one of the songs I chose for my son and we sat waiting until they completely restarted the music. The processional out of the chapel was chaotic and uncoordinated, my daughters were almost left out of the procession. To top it all off, we paid over $1400 for an escort to Rosewood in Humble and the escort took us through a convenience store parking lot OVER SPEED BUMPS. I plan to file a grievance with the Texas Funeral Commission. Unprofessionalism and over charging people while they are grieving is completely UNACCEPTABLE. If I hadn't had to make an agreement with my ex-husband to use this funeral home in order to bury my son's body at Rosewood where all my family is buried I would not have. Rosewood has always been my families choice going all the way back to 1938 and I have never had an issue with them. Please do your research and compare prices if you are able. Taking advantage of grieving families is the lowest of the low.

Simply outstanding service by a staff of genuine, down-to-earth, caring people. Look - I know (in…read morefact, I hope), that the people who run this family-owned business are rolling in dough. They deserve it. I went to two other funeral homes in the area, and while both were perfectly pleasant and nice, it was Zac Clayton and his staff (everyone from the guy giving directions to the pallbearers, making sure everyone had buttonnieres, etc., to the young lady giving instructions to the cemetery workers (South Park Cemetery)) who a) never made us feel like we were pressured into 'buying up' to a 'better' model of casket or container; b) were totally - TOTALLY - transparent about prices and fees; c) took care to ensure that EVERY necessary detail was addressed (flowers, prayer cards, finding a priest who could perform a service at the funeral home when there was a schedule conflict with the church, etc.) either by Clayton or by the family; d) had pricing that was more than fair on the services and items needed for the burial; and e) were just all-around super nice, comforting, helpful, and made you feel like they were helping out family and friends that they had known for years. Honestly, do yourself a favor, shop around if you want to, but GO to these guys and give them a listen. You will be SO GLAD afterwards that you did. BTW - everything about the service was lovely - the flowers (done in house by Clayton), the service by our borrowed priest (thank you Father Jim!), the slideshow of photos and music (photos / music supplied by family, edited into presentation by Clayton and displayed flawlessly by the Clayton folks on their big screen using their a/v equipment. Cannot thank or recommend these guys enough. Thank you Clayton (and especially Zac) for all you did for our mother and our family.

Mr. John Clayton and his staff were so professional, so compassionate and so sensitive to our needs, making a difficult time less stressful. This is a funeral home that goes the extra distance to make sure everything is done correctly and on time. The funeral parlor is also quite beautiful. I cannot thank Mr. Clayton and his staff enough, for assisting us in having a dignified and beautiful home going service for my husband. Diana Merritte
