Unlike the person above, I can't honestly reccomend this agency. Me and four of my friends decided to rent house from SF last spring. In the beginning, all looked decent and well. I can't complain about condition of offered house itself, or about contract - although latter was quite strict. It was SF's agents from Cowley Road branch which puts us down. Since signing contract, we were treated as "necessary evil". Upon moving in, we were given few days to notify any mistakes or errors in the house, plus our requests to landlord. After giving list to SF, we waited full two weeks. When asked about their response, our property manager seemed to check this list just when we entered office (meaning, she hadn't before...). Later all seemed fair and OK, untill we decided to move out. We were given looong list of dues expected from us - basicly, we had to clean WHOLE house and leave it in mint condition. As we moved to almost brand new and freshly furbished house, it turned up to be hardly possible (unless cleaning is a 30-years-long hobby and way of living to one, that is). Worse, SF agents tried to speed up our departure for two weeks, suggesting that some new tenants may move earlier then... After dreadful week of cleaning and dealing with reccomended by SF contractors, we left keys. Then, waited over a month for a decision regarding refunding deposit. Because of stains on carpet (which couldn't be removed by cleaning company) and some other minor details, we had 1/3 of deposit taken. Even "wear and tear" were supposed to be considered on our disadvantage. Great :]. As for "pushing up" upon our moving out - no one moved in there until 2.5 month later. Summary: if you like to be hassled, got spare 500 quids to drop into "void", like challenges - that's agency for you, dear reader. To be fair: house and equipment condition was very good, no doubt about it. Just their demands and general treatment of customer - I hate being on losing position as soon as contract is signed... read more
