On our first visit, they suggested we use them in addition to our dentist, in other words let them perform one of the two cleanings each year. Thought that was a good idea and we booked it. What they failed to mention is that I would have to pay an additional 125$ because it's with an periodontist office and they either wouldn't be able to justify it for insurance purposes or they couldn't justify it--never could figure that out. (My 2 dental cleanings each year are normally fully covered.) That rubbed us the wrong way and was tricky on their part. The 2nd strike is we have been there 2x's and they never bill us correctly. I had to "babysit" the bills as I went back and forth a few times between my insurance company and the office. (Interestingly enough, the bills were always more than they should have been and this is an in-network place for us.) Sadly we will never return.

The first cleaning I had with Hygienist Alyson (a year or two ago) went the same as Stephanie describes - - Alyson was rude, unprofessional, condescending and has a nasty bedside manner. She is not pleased to have to deal with any medical issues a client may have. Due to vertigo and sinus problems, I am unable to be reclined back as far as she would like, yet she has no concern for anything but her own comfort. Likewise, the appointment setter, Claudia, is rude and obnoxious, stating that she told you something last time you were there, when she DID NOT. I was called less than a week before my six month cleaning and told that it would be a deep cleaning as discussed. They "mentioned" wanting to do it; but I NEVER AGREED to it - - and now they say they will no longer treat me if I don't have it done. I asked to speak with the dentist by phone and was told that I would have to make an appointment to see him in person, rather than a telephone call. I really only wanted to speak to him further about the procedure itself and privately question his staff's behavior, but because of Claudia's rudeness and pushiness, I decided to come here to let everyone know about my feelings publicly. Additionally, during the last visit, the dentist mentioned a small light colored area near one of my teeth near the gum (it has been there for years) and the dentist gave me a card to go see his buddy, a dental surgeon, to have a look at it. Two years ago, they stopped taking my insurance (claiming it was a slow payer), but I loyally stayed with them, and submitted repayments to my insurance myself for reimbursement; so now, all of a sudden, Claudia calls me a week before my appointment telling me I have good insurance and it will only be $35 for the deep cleaning. Furthermore, they will no longer treat me if I don't get it done. Could it be that they lost so many long-time clients they decided to again take my insurance? Working the system much? Poor business practices at the very least.
