It's tidy, but not clean, and the carpet and furniture is ready for replacement. I'd be able to comfortably stop in here briefly to get something quick done, but would not be comfortable here for a full day. For context: I was seeking a place to do some work remotely while my daughter was in day camp in Decatur. This was one of the first places I tried, but I found better locations after this. I'm certain this is a great resource for the local community. There appears to be a community center next door where small children (maybe a day camp) were out playing in the "backyard" area; there was a small gathering of likely unhoused people on the front lawn of the library (likely a welcomed gathering spot for them during the day); inside the back entrance, there was a beautiful display of award-winning artwork and poetry from children across the county; there are clean restroom facilities; and there is ample parking in the rear of the building plus a rear entrance for easy access after parking.

Got me a library card and became a member and I do not regret it. Librarians are amazing and so sweet and helpful. Felt so welcomed and I loved every minute of studying here. Beautiful calming atmosphere with a nice fall view of trees with leaves changing. After a hectic week and day, perfect way to relax and unwind. Will be here at least once a week and build from there.

I found the book quickly on the "midrange" floor (what you or I might call the 1-1/2th floor, or perhaps the mezzanine if you're feeling charitable) and was astonished that the honor system rules this library. The circulation staffer inserted a copy card worth over $25 and told me to just let him know, when I was done, how many copies I'd made. I expect the 5¢ price is because tuition subsidizes the cost, so please don't ruin it for anyone by taking advantage. But if what you want to copy happens to be in Columbia Theological Seminary's collection (you can check on http://WorldCat.org/, using ZIP code 30030), I think it's perfectly fair to go there and photocopy those materials to your heart's delight -- or to the extent of fair use, whichever comes first.

When I asked to see the written policy, the security guard was called and asked me to leave the library! The security guard and supervisor finally admitted there was no written policy, and the rule was to keep homeless because from washing in the bathroom. Clearly, I was not homeless, and they could have asked to see my library card, AND you can't enforce a made-up rule. The Mayor needs to fire them to see how they like being homeless! Buying books is amazing, but supporting our local library system is even better. And lucky for all of us here in Atlanta, we have some fantastic libraries to choose from, no matter where you are across our counties. This local library is in East Atlanta and offers only a bit of parking, but there's never truly a struggle to find a spot. It's a small, but mighty location and offers a wide range of media options to choose from. There are 2 rooms that you can use for meetings/studying, a line of computers and multiple places to sit and read your books when you're visiting. It was so quiet, comfortable and chill in there, an easy place to get lost within the books and your imagination! I loved that there was a large children's area, full of books for the little ones and space for them to roam about. I'm aging myself because I was blown away by the self-checkout machines, lol. My last city library didn't have that and it was great to see them equipped with that new technology. It was hiccuping a bit when I was ready to checkout so I opted to go the old-fashioned route, but minutes later it was back up again. My only constructive criticism is wishing that there was an 24/7 dropbox. (Unless I'm missing it!) This is a lovely branch that really showcases how amazing the library system is here in Atlanta!

Yes, it's an all female college in Decatur GA- just a stones-throw from the city. But with all of the wonderful food, shopping, and (lets be honest) beauty, Agnes Scott is a sure thing. All of the professors at ASC have their PhD., and offer incredibly insightful, interpersonal, and unbiased teaching. I don't believe that I could have found a better support academic environment. ASC also has an extremely high rate of their pre-med being accepted into medical school, not to mention many graduates go on to graduate studies, or leave ASC with a job. Socially, it is the type of school where you need to be incredibly open minded. Yes, there are many outlets for the students to go party, meet people of the opposite sex, or not. I would say the most wonderful thing about Agnes Scott is the students respect for one another regardless of sexual and gender identity, religion, race, and background. We have an extremely diverse enrollment, and many clubs and associations for students to become involved in. We work hard here, but many of us also play hard. We do throw many social events, including a fall semester formal, and a spring semi-formal. Agnes Scott knows how to throw down. Sometimes on-campus guest are a little weary of what to expect... but every date I have brought on campus has has an awesome time. Being from a fairly small town only 75 mi. north of Atlanta, I didn't expect a lot of change from my conservative high school. Well, it did. I have become very well rounded, open-minded, accepting.. and driven to succeed. When I first came to Agnes, my class motto was "Take root...grow beyond." And I most certainly have.

I love this little bookstore!…read more Well, there's nothing little about the space and endless opportunities to find literary greatness at this bookstore in the heart of Decatur. I've had the opportunity to visit Little Shop of Stories numerous times since I moved to Atlanta, but my visits totally hit differently now that I'm a mom. As someone raised by a teacher (with help from Reading Rainbow and Levar Burton), I've passed this onto my son although he can't read yet, lol. So we are always adding to his little library as he grows. Beyond books, Little Shop of Stories also carries so many fun educational toys for kids and books for readers of all ages. It's so easy to get lost in their large collections, but luckily they keep it incredibly organized and make it easy to find whatever your imagination can dream of. After finding a few goodies to take home to my little one, I strolled around the store a bit more and took in the whimsical vibes. Just being in there lifted my mood! Seriously a wonderful place to transport yourself into the magical world of books and discovery, no matter your age.

The facility itself is clean and well-lit. There are private rooms that can be booked, and there is plenty of public space to work or read. There was a good amount of FREE parking, and they have someone keeping an eye on it, so that it's not misused by the crowds who are in the area for restaurants.

Last night was no different, is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking garages within walking distance. Robert W. Woodruff Library is the main library of Emory University. The Woodruff Library Building also hosts the Goizueta Business Library, Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library, Marian K. Heilbrun Music & Media Library, the Emory Center for Digital Scholarship, and the Matheson Reading Room. The main entrance is on the second floor, and has study areas on the first through third floors. Besides the main building, there is a tower of 10 floors serving as a storage of books. The Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) is on the tenth floor of the tower. I was here for an event hosted by the MARBL, it houses a diverse body of primary sources associated with the African American experience, from literature and history to politics and popular culture. Anyone can visit the collection and not just students so that's a neat fact.
