I had to complete and sign two affidavits to void my absentee ballots. I completed one of the affidavits in-person here. I visited on a Tuesday and entered the line at 12:16 PM. I was done and on my way at 12:36 PM, only 20 minutes later. Pretty good. The entire process was smooth and uneventful. Everyone knew what they were doing, whether they were a poll worker or a voter. All voters showed up masked and stood in line socially-distanced. A couple poll workers monitored and guided the line. Phones could be used outside the library, but not inside. The line moved at a brisk pace. I ran into my neighbor, the Honorable Stephanie Davis, standing in line behind me and we chatted for a bit. I was seen at the first desk (#1). The masked, soft-spoken lady, behind the wall of plexiglass, was very polite and kind to me. She was also efficient. I explained to her my situation. She had me complete and initial/sign two documents and then directed me to one of the now infamous Dominion voting machines. It had been a while since I voted in-person. I mostly vote by mail for the convenience. I was impressed with how "modern" the system was with activation card, stylus, and giant tablet. After I made my selections, I had to feed my hard-copy ballot with QR code into the scanning machine myself. On the ballot were: Senate: Kelly Loeffler (R) vs. Raphael Warnock (D) David Perdue (R) vs. Jon Ossoff (D) Georgia Public Service Commission: Lauren McDonald Jr. (R) vs. Daniel Blackman (D) This runoff is huge because it will determine control of the US Senate. I've never been prouder to be a Georgia voter than these last two elections: November 3, 2020 and January 5, 2021. This state is extremely important right now in terms of politics and the future the country. For early voting, the parking lot for this library was busy. I just parked on the street: Frederica St NE. It's a residential street and free to park on. There was a poll worker directing traffic in to and out of the lot for those who wanted to try and snag a really close spot. There was an absentee ballot drop box positioned outside the front door. Also, right outside the voter exit door, Georgia-based celebrity chef Hugh Acheson (Empire State South, by George) had two guys offering free tacos to voters as they left. The guys had a folding table, warm tacos in insulated containers on wheels, and a chalkboard sign with Hugh's name on it. At first, the thought did not occur to me that what they were doing was illegal. Instead, I thought it was a sly marketing move by Hugh. While perhaps not exactly right, I know they meant well and I thought what they were doing was cool. The library facility itself was nice. Clean, quiet, and up-to-date. It looks like it's had a facelift relatively recently, inside and out. The library had a small fleet of Dell workstations - that looked to be in good condition - too. Believe it or not, after becoming a Georgia resident in 2000, this was my first time inside an Atlanta public library. It took me over 20 years to get to this point. Note: As of today, my first absentee ballot is still missing. My second absentee ballot eventually did show up, 13 days after I requested it over the phone with Fulton County.

Parking is scarce but this is midtown Atlanta and we need to stop expecting parking everywhere we go anyway! Walk, bike or use MARTA to live the real ATL life. Mr. Ken and his toddler story times are useful for parents and kids alike. It's like being in studio for a children's tv program. They mostly happen Monday and Wednesday from 1030-11am but be sure to check online for ransoms date cancellations. There are a few parking spots around the back for those that travel from far away. There are weekly adult and kid activities that take place in their meeting room. The best part of this library is the weekly baby and toddler time with Mr. Ken! He reads stories, sings nursery rhymes, and plays musical toys with the babies. You can tell he really loves his job by the way he interacts with the kids. He even remember names. We are very lucky to have this program and Mr. Ken in the neighborhood. My daughter looks forward to going every week. I have seen the class grow almost double in size since last year.

Buying books is amazing, but supporting our local library system is even better. And lucky for all of us here in Atlanta, we have some fantastic libraries to choose from, no matter where you are across our counties. This local library is in East Atlanta and offers only a bit of parking, but there's never truly a struggle to find a spot. It's a small, but mighty location and offers a wide range of media options to choose from. There are 2 rooms that you can use for meetings/studying, a line of computers and multiple places to sit and read your books when you're visiting. It was so quiet, comfortable and chill in there, an easy place to get lost within the books and your imagination! I loved that there was a large children's area, full of books for the little ones and space for them to roam about. I'm aging myself because I was blown away by the self-checkout machines, lol. My last city library didn't have that and it was great to see them equipped with that new technology. It was hiccuping a bit when I was ready to checkout so I opted to go the old-fashioned route, but minutes later it was back up again. My only constructive criticism is wishing that there was an 24/7 dropbox. (Unless I'm missing it!) This is a lovely branch that really showcases how amazing the library system is here in Atlanta!

When I asked to see the written policy, the security guard was called and asked me to leave the library! The security guard and supervisor finally admitted there was no written policy, and the rule was to keep homeless because from washing in the bathroom. Clearly, I was not homeless, and they could have asked to see my library card, AND you can't enforce a made-up rule. The Mayor needs to fire them to see how they like being homeless! Can you say LAWSUIT!

The service was pretty fast we signed up for a card at home then went to go pick it up and browsed around for a while. The guy at the entrance was really nice who was actually checking us in and helping us get our actual card. he provided a lot of information and provided us with a couple of pamphlet that was very helpful. they look like they have a few events that take place there from time to time it is currently still summer. They have different summer programs going on , plus you can tend to register to vote here as well. Anywho my daughter enjoyed herself playing on the computers they had set up for kids in like the kids zone she was able to play games that were already set up on there just as well as they had lots of books to pick from. We would definitely be back. They made a great first impression only downfall that I could say is none of the books that I really wanted to check out was available somewhere on Libby available to be audio read but I actually want the physical book so right now I'm currently in line waiting to get the book that I want.

I was a bit…read moresurprised that it didn't have more books, but as I made my rounds I found that it does contain a good, well-rounded selection, and with privileges to the full Fulton Public Library system, any book you want can be transferred in. That includes a good selection of e-books and audio books. This branch also has puzzles! You can check out puzzles! I'm looking forward to that for this winter! The facility itself is clean and well-lit. There are private rooms that can be booked, and there is plenty of public space to work or read. There was a good amount of FREE parking, and they have someone keeping an eye on it, so that it's not misused by the crowds who are in the area for restaurants.

Visited 2 April 2026…read more I had a great experience at the library. I wanted to use the computer and print and that's exactly what I was a leg to do. Upon entry, the receptionist at the desk was pleasant and answered the million questions I had. I was given a guest access code to use the computer and used thag same code to print. Accessing the computer was easy. But, at first it was a bit confusing about the printer because there was a pop-up that instructed you to install a printer (that is not necessary). Once ready to print, the computer send your documents to the print station where you are able to preview your documents, select color or black & white, before you pay $0.10/page for black & white or $0.25/page color copies. Be warned, there is a 25-page print limit. There was a time limit to use the computer as well, but I kept getting automatically extended since there were more computers available and nobody was waiting to use one. The library was quiet although a large group of school-aged children came in. Regardless, it was not too busy there, just a handful of people who came, took care of their business, and left. It was clean and well organized. There are even desk spaces without computer. While there everyone was respectful and followed the norms of the library. I did not check out any books, so I cannot speak to that service, but I did notice a book drop-box outside for after hours. I liked the library and will be back if needed.

There was an amazing collection of books, computers, and plenty of help. There were a lot of mommas and kids. It was a little noisy which I give the library An A+ for letting happen. I found there was also a law library series that has started. The series was about the Probate Court in Rockdale county. Judge Gary Washington was the speaker and it was an excellent talk. So I found out the library is still relevant after all these years. But it has changed a lot.
