My husband came here in May 2022 for a tooth extraction. He decided he wanted an implant, so Dr…read more Milewski placed cadaver bone in his gum. We have returned four times, driving from our home forty-five minutes away. Three of the four times were futile, as nothing was done but X-rays. Another time the cadaver bone process had failed, so no implant, just another incision in his gums with stitches and antibiotics. No information was given as to the process for having an implant, and no patient information was available when I asked. The doctor and the assistant looked at me in seeming disbelief that I had asked for information to read. There should be some type of informative literature offered to explain step by step what will happen. So far, it's been eight months since the tooth extraction with no implant yet!

With that being said, he was so good, I had to see him a second time. By that point he had his newer office here in Raleigh. He's the most personable professional I've had digging around in my head. Don't let his looks fool you, he can work a scalpel and a pair of pliers with the best of them. He operated on me 2x for a total of 4 teeth extracted. No infections, pain was minimal and instructions were clear. If I could use him again, I absolutely would. Thanks Eric.

Do NOT go to this doctor if you seeking Covid-safe, timely, helpful service. I had the worst…read moreexperience I have EVER had in my ENTIRE LIFE with Dr. Gaines. In addition to enduring a wait while I was the only patient in the waiting room - during COVID, this doctor flat out REFUSED to wash his hands. I respectfully requested that he wash his hands before touching and examining my mouth. He would not wash his hands, and told me that he would not serve me, rather than taking 20 seconds to keep me - the patient - safe. I informed him that I have asthma and I am high risk, and that I was only there for an in-person appointment because of a dental emergency. Instead of taking just 20 seconds to wash his hands, he spent more than 10 minutes rudely insisting that he had washed his hands "several times that day" and that he "knows way more about Covid than me." Due to his incredibly rude and unhelpful attitude, I had a panic attack in the chair while seeking the help of someone who could have simply taken 20 seconds to wash their hands after touching a tablet, a pen, a door, and who knows what else upon entering the room. As Covid numbers are peaking around the country, asking a doctor who is about to touch the inside of your mouth to wash their hands is quite a small ask. Dr. Gaines' office is NOT a Covid-safe or Covid-friendly office. Stay safe, go elsewhere.

I liked that I had only called a few days ago and was able to get in for an appointment first thing in the morning. I did not like having to still wait 20 minutes when I was clearly the only patient there. I also did not like having to watch a 15 minute video on wisdom teeth, by myself, in a small room while sitting in a dentist chair. However, when Dr. Gaines (finally) came in, he was very friendly and answered all of my silly questions (how many people actually die from anesthesia? how likely is it that part of my jaw might become permanently numb?). All in all, I love my dentist even though I hate visiting him, and I trust his recommendation of Dr. Gaines.

Dr. Kozacko performed a wisdom teeth extraction on my son and he now has permanent nerve damage…read more After 2 years he still has a numb lower lip with no sensation. Office is old school and doesn't offer or use any newer technologies to avoid these possible complications. We were never informed of any possible complications that could occur due to nerve damage. During the consultation they put you in a tiny room and make you watch a 1990's video on the procedure. Not until after he realized he had nerve damage did he tell us this was a complication that could occur and made me sign a waiver for him to continue to treat him for post surgical infections. Do your research on newer technologies offered for this surgery before choosing this practice. Other practices in the area are more up-to-date technologies that can avoid complications of taking out wisdom teeth that are impacted. I regret ever using this practice or physician.

My wife broke a tooth and there was not enough left to put a crown on it. She was able to get an appointment with this office and they went over a number of things on the phone before we ever came in. Once we arrived we were greeted and everything was explained very thoroughly and our questions were answered. The office is very well organized and everyone was professional on our visit. Not all of the services were covered by our insurance but that was explained to us. We paid at the time of service and were given complete aftercare instructions. I see no issues with the office but everyone has their own experience and everyone is allowed their opinion.
