And don't forget about the dogs demanding your attention at this dog-friendly site. I appreciate the growing number of breweries in the Glens Falls-Lake George area, but honestly, if I'm coming to the area with friends, we'll come here first.

But based on the fact that this place was constantly full the entire time I was there, and the service everyone received, the beers and the taproom are quite popular. The facility is quite small as a bar area where you could sit three or four people and a couple of tables that each could host about four people per table- no more than 16 or 18 seats in the facility. They don't have food, but they will give you pretzels and peanuts on the house which is a nice touch considering there isn't another brewery in the region that does this. Beer is very good no complaints. We tried their stout and one of their clear IPA's, and they were both great. Looking forward to our return.

Well, I finally got here, and it was indeed worth it for me. The space is large and comfortable. Parking is convenient, usually spaces on US 9 right in front of their entrance is almost always available, and their downtown location makes it very convenient to visit other businesses. One of the reasons I like Mean Max so much is my preference for darker beers. They always have a number of them available, enough to make a flight of just those if you want (flights here are five 5oz. glasses), with quite a range of ABV's, if that matters to you. While the Troy taproom has numerous pinball machines, here they only have one Golden Tee with a large screen for it on the wall (something my friends would love). This area of Glens Falls is definitely worth a visit, and Mean Max should be part of it.
