Maybe you're…read morereading this review for the very same reason and you are making the drive over yonder to the Barrie region. How meta would that be? I like The Burger's Priest and find it to be a reliably delicious burger brand. I particularly like how the burger is smashed onto the grill, leaving behind a crispy yet juicy burger. That is beautiful and an art. This particular location is in a giant superplex strip mall situation and stands on it's own with lots of parking around. I had a burger with blue cheese and bacon, plus fries. It all came out hot, fast, and fresh. My boyfriend really enjoyed his buffalo chicken tenders and it's great that they have all kinds of options like that, over to a stuffed mushroom burger to accomodate all kinds of taste buds. Everything that I asked for and a bit more.

When I went to picked up order was ready, but the bag appeared noticeably wet. The drink tray was provided to me, but I was warned be careful the tray is sloppy. Okay? Why you give me the tray then? Give me a proper drink tray? I asked for a fork, and the girl asked do you want a knife gesturing my burger was tall. The onion rings were cold, soggy. The burgers were wrapped sloppy, the burgers were lopsided. The burger buns were soaking wet like a sponge. This was probably the worst burger I've had in a long time, it's just the wrong texture to have a sponged soggy bun. Sort of ruin the whole meal.

A short story about Jersey Mike's, I went to their location which opened at Union Station in…read moreToronto when it first opened and while I liked the subs the customer service was very bad. When I noticed they open in North Barrie, I thought I would give it a shot. It is slightly larger than the Union Station spot and actually had tables. On to the menu I had giant Club Sub with roast beef, Turkey and bacon and had a chipotle chicken cheesesteak regular with a large drink and a bag of french onion crisps . A word to the wise, I consider myself a healthy eater, but do NOT get a giant sub with Jersey Mike's unless you have not eaten in a week. The giant sub is just too big for one person to eat in one sitting . One thing with Jersey Mikes the subs are very fresh , you can see the care they take in putting your subs together. Both subs tasted fantastic . The bread was spongy fresh. The veggies were clean and crisp and there was a lot of meat on the subs. The big difference between these two locations was that Barrie location's customer service was similar to the American stores that I heard about from my friends in the states who were raving about this franchise. You can see the meat and cheeses getting sliced in front of you with this location and they actually took the time to chat with you and check to see you enjoying the food. Yes I know they just opened and there were some minor errors but that happens for all new locations with chains. The trainers (I think they were American) were there to go over the corrections. All in All it was good value and a fine start for Jersey Mikes in Barrie. I will be going back to try the different varieties of subs and checking out their cookies as well.

By 2:00AM I was taken to hospital by ambulance. Given serious meds. No need for a stomach pump as everything was out. Released at noon. Still sick. Again, serious meds. "Dry heaves" for over a week. No solids for two weeks. Again taken to the hospital due to passing out. It took a month before I could have a real meal. It wasn't at Wendy's. Decided salads would be safe. First is the language barrier. It's English they speak, sort of. Last time I went in the cashier kept saying something, which turned out that seated meals were finished for the night; it was 8:58PM. I said it was to go. A female staffer came over to him and they started a conversation. Take my order? I'm standing right in front of him. Ergo I left. So, food is Russian Roulette, service is iffy, ambiance is no big deal. Is it really worth going back? Naw...
