I really did not want to go back but covid was a mess to find new daycares so I let both my children go for the summer to utilize the credit that she withheld from me. They leave their school bags outside in the sun before pick up time, a possible "rodent" or animal chewed through my daughter's bag (I don't care about the bag but it's kinda gross to have rodents crawling my children's belongings) but according to the owner, it's impossible. So it must have been either my pet goldfishes or 3 year old son who chewed it out...since it was "impossible"to have rodents outside their building. Friday was pizza day. I gave pizza money but they miscommunicated somehow and didn't feed my daughter. When I tried to talk to the owner, she put her hand in my face and told me "it would never happen again and I had to drop it". Even if I had forgotten to pay, would it be so terrible to feed a child with the half slice of pizza you ordered if she did not have anything to eat? In the beginning of the summer, the teacher told me my son had an accident in his pants, fine, whatever, it happens with kids. Two months later, they returned a bag of soiled clothes to me. It would have been better if they just tossed it. Send in labeled lip balm and sun screen they say, it will be applied if they go out later in the day. Forget it, by the end of the summer, all my sunscreens were brand new. There were many great teachers that worked here but most have left. It's a beautiful new and clean place with lots of potential to be great, unfortunately, when you only look at $ and not use your heart to care for the children that parents trust you with, it will show right through. I spent a few seasons here because I really wanted to like it, all the parents including myself were ultimately disappointed in the management of this daycare.

Rather than focusing on improving the classroom environment, staff suggested that my child might have a diagnosis, even though they are not qualified to make medical or developmental assessments. I found this inappropriate and concerning. If staff have developmental concerns, they should communicate specific observations respectfully and encourage parents to speak with their child's pediatrician--not suggest diagnoses. I expected a supportive, well-organized, and professional environment, but that was not my experience.

I was very clear about his needs in every conversation I had with them. I called multiple times to provide all the necessary details, and everything seemed perfect for him to start. He began on a Monday--a completely new environment with new peers, he a behavioral complaint. On Tuesday, it was described as a good day. On Wednesday, they said everything was perfect. Then, on Thursday, I got a call from the owner, Margo, telling me they were not a good fit for my son because he required more assistance. I was shocked and devastated, especially since I had explained his needs in detail before enrolling him. I was caught completely off guard in the middle of my workday and had to leave work in tears. What made matters worse was how Margo handled the situation. In the middle of our conversation, she walked out because we disagreed. She claimed that when she went to talk to my son, he didn't acknowledge her, yet when we left, he was saying goodbye to everyone. It wasn't just that the daycare wasn't a good fit for my son; it was the way the situation was handled and the lack of communication and respect throughout the process. I thought it was a good environment, but the lack of communication and respect was incredibly disappointing.

Class sizes are small, STEM is a major focus, teachers are qualified, and expectations are high.. both academically as well as conduct standpoint. When taking a tour led by 8th grade students, I was blown away by the maturity, confidence and composure of these 12/13 year olds. This year, my family had the misfortune of dealing with the diagnosis of a serious illness that I received. When notified, the amount of support and love that my family received was incredible. They offered before/after care... they gave cell phone numbers etc... The community atmosphere there is incredible. All that said, its not for everyone. As mentioned above there are expectations, there is religion and morals, and if your children need to be reprimanded for poor behavior, then they will provide that as well. We have found that most other parents that have a hard time following the rules are the ones who seem to have the most "problems"... The doors open at a certain time for a reason. The children are let out a certain way, for a reason. They ask for certain snacks not to be sent to school for a reason... And it seems the parents who have to complain the loudest about these rules, rather than just accepting them as part of enrollment in this school, perhaps should consider a different school. We have found that being cooperative, following the rules and being personable has lead to a fantastic experience. In my business, if my clients are difficult to work with, they have a much different experience than those who are a pleasure to work with.

In reference to the negative review, I am not too concerned about the front desk. My main concern is my kids safety. I would prefer there be a strict policy on admittance. Also, public school just as catholic schools are not babysitting services. There is a time that students are expected to be in school and released from school. On another note, The academics are by far high, the teachers are fantastic and the curriculum is rigorous. This is everything that embodies a dynamic school. The class size is small as they move up into elementary school and middle school. This is exactly why I choose Trinity Regional School. Truly, look no further if you and your family are looking into Catholic Education. You will not be unhappy.

This has not been my experience in the 2+ years my daughter has been there and we have had nothing but positive experiences always. My daughter has a huge personality, super sassy and energetic. She is loved by everyone, the second she walks in the door she is getting hugs from everyone, past teachers come to see her in her class room and we even get to see some of the staff outside of TT bc they love her so much. Big personalities and lots of energy grow and prosper there and to say they are unwanted is very much untrue. Cleanliness is important to them, especially with covid and they are constantly taking the necessary precautions to keep the kids safe. I watch the cameras and they have very specific cleaning routines. My daughter has come home sick only once, for high fever - and she got it from her cousin not from the school. When they called me I was 45 minutes away and it was no problem at all, they were super sweet and took care of her until I could get there. The academic program is great - my daughter comes home every day learning new things. She soaks it up like a sponge and I love how many things they do every single day. There is always reading, writing, math, science - it blew my mind when she started how much she was actually learning. I thought they would spend most of their time playing but they fit in so much! For example just today they did days of the week, months of the year, weather, a fire drill sequence, a science experiment, learned about the ecosystem and counting. To say there is little to no academic instruction is insane and bizarre to me. Lastly, Allison and Danielle are amazing. They are incredibly sweet and love on my kid so much - and we don't have to "suck up" to get that kind of attention. They answer all my emails right away and are always so kind and helpful. They plan the most fun things for the kids and are always trying to do the best for them. I often get to the school early bc my job is so far away and if our daughters teacher isn't on site yet Danielle lets her hangout in her office with her, which is her favorite thing to do in the mornings! When one of the directors who has a PhD in education found out that my son was attending Tutor Time of Massapequa, she said "I've had this conversation with them before. Their methods are terrible. The teachers have no training whatsoever. Their only response to when a child doesn't behave is to isolate the child and eventually try to get rid of the child which causes much more harm than good." My child has only been there a total of three days (non-consecutive). During our very short three days there, the staff has notified me of my child's hyperactivity and how it is impacting their day negatively. As a NY state certified special education teacher, I was appalled by the feedback I was receiving and the staffs inability to provide solutions and/or interest in providing tier one behavior supports to ease my child's first experience in a "school" setting. In addition, I also contacted my child's pediatrician and "in house" social worker, who expressed similar concerns about this setting. Feel free to consider these components especially when sending your child for a first time experience. My child is heartbroken and can't understand why he is not welcomed back.
