Then it was time to pay, My dad is a disabled veteran therefore tax exempt...so I went up to the counter to get assistance with that. The lady there said, "we don't accept that" I tried to explain to her that there is not an option for a business to not accept tax exemption from a disabled veteran, I tried to explain to her that she could be fined. I was told she would have to come to our table and take our order manually, and that she didn't know when that would be: that she was busy and we would just have to wait until she had time to deal with us. WE LEFT. I am disappointed, I really liked their food but, I will not give my money to a business that would make any attempt to not honor a disabled veteran's tax exemption. 1 star given ONLY because the food I have eaten in the past was good... I will miss the food but will not eat here again. Most know that I am a big foodie and are always asking me for my recommendation on places to eat...ii won't recommend places with just good food, service matters as well. So I went to the store yesterday, 26 January at 6pm and the lights were out. When I called today to resolve this, the employee was unhelpful and directed me to corporate for a refund. When I called back to explain, he hung up on me because he stated that he was 'the only one working and could not help me.' I then went to the store in person, where there were two employees working, (not one, as the employee claimed over the phone) and the same employee who hung up the phone, claimed the manager said there was 'nothing they could do' and refused to provide his name, the manager's name or the manager's contact info, which was unheard of because usually managers want their customers to reach them if there are issues or concerns. So my only option was to take a photo of the unhelpful employee and the store for proof and documentation. While other locations (like the one on West Memorial) were willing to help based on my proof of purchase (which I have), but this location (Store # 5921) refused. Unfortunately, I am now out my money with zero resolution and terrible service. I am extremely disappointed and will not return to the Westgate Marketplace location (Store # 5921) until a new team takes over that is willing to help customers. This is only the second time in my life I have submitted this type of review, and I hope I never have to do so again. However, thank you to Google for providing a platform for customers to have a voice when they feel helpless.
