We had the honeycomb ice cream and it was incredible, but we also sampled the Earl Gray and Brown Sugar Cookie dough and they too were awesome. And then of course the Nutella crepe with strawberries was SUCH a hit, it was packed full and absolutely delicious! we'll be coming back to do it all again VERY SOON!! read more

Went to Scoops during our short trip to San Diego for a quick sweet treat! The store seemed really busy but the line went quick! It's the cutest shop inside and out. The gal that helped us with our selection suggested the Honeycomb flavor and it turned out to be our favorite!! Lots of vegan and non-vegan flavors. We got a mini flight so we could try 4 different kinds and had a hard time finishing it, it was so filling! I'll be keeping this shop on my list of go-tos whenever I make my next trip out. read more

Scoops consistently delivers delicious ice cream. We regularly vacation in La Jolla Shores and nightly visits to Scoops for dessert are a must! The ice cream is tasty, they have traditional flavors like cookies and cream, chocolate or strawberry, and flavors for the more adventurous like vegan rhubarb crumble with sweet basil or oat milk brownie raspberry swirl. I have to give kudos to the customer service at Scoops! When a twelve year old in our group ordered the rhubarb crumble and it wasn't what he expected, the Scoops staff person was wonderful and offered the child the opportunity to chose a different flavor. His Dad loved the rhubarb flavor and got a nice treat, but because of their great customer service everyone left with an ice cream they enjoyed! read more

Fun little ice cream, coffee, and crepe shop tucked away in La Jolla Shores about one minute from the beach. They brew Bird Rock coffee in-house and have a wide range of delicious ice cream. I highly recommend the vegan dark chocolate ice cream with a cold brew to go along with it. And if you have a sweet tooth, the Banana Nutella crepe is the way to go. Was coming out of a sushi place for dinner next door, and we thought hey lets get some ice cream. We walked by this place before dinner and noticed that it was just a small little ice cream place. We walked in and we were greeted by a very nice young lady, and we started trying all of the different flavors that they have. We noticed that they have a lot of vegan options including vegan ice cream and cones. We also asked about having gluten free waffle cones, we found out that they do have them. Although the gluten free cones are purchased they are not made in house. Once we were finished trying all of the flavors we decided and that was we got one scoop of vanilla bean and we got a root beer float with vanilla bean ice cream. They were both really good and very tasteful. This place is a cool little place that will fill all your needs of sweets, especially ice cream. Thank you to the girls that let us in 5 minutes before they closed to try ice cream and hangout while they were closing. This place is really cool and if you have little kids it is perfect for them to come in and get their sweet tooth needs met. Yumm I love this cute ice cream shop! The employees are super friendly and let me try a bunch of ice cream samples. They were also super accommodating for a friend with allergies. This place is my husband, my kids and I favorite place to have dessert. For the past month we've been coming maybe once a week. It's that good. Alright, this place is TOO GOOD. Came here yesterday and got strawberry ice cream in the most amazing waffle cone EVER, and I got the BEST Carmel crepe I've EVER HAD! Just found out Scoops opened up a week ago. This little ice cream shop is great! And their vegan ice cream is so good. It tasted better than the normal ice cream. We asked and they said they make it out of cashew milk and another kind of nut. It was very tasty and they make their own waffle cones fresh, on-the-spot, and in front of you. This place was not great, I felt let down by the yelp reviews. It's a small place so not a ton of flavors to choose from, but enough. It's pricey, but any place that has the word "artisan" attached to whatever that are selling automatically gets to charge more for their product...I guess? The scoops are baby sized. I got a double scoop and it was really a single from anywhere else. They resembled the scoops I give to my kids at home when I want to save ice cream for myself to eat after they go to bed, read: SMALL. My husband was also disappointed in this, which made us stop at the store on the way home and buy a carton of ice cream. That's how sad their scoop size is. I had the chocolate brownie and mint and chip. I prefer thrifty brand of both of those flavors. Live and learn. The brownie was not brownies, but dry pieces of cake. Super weird and unappetizing. This place is amazing and super vegan friendly. Their cashew and coconut milk base is indistinguishable from dairy ice cream. I got the cookies and cream caramel flavor. It was some of the best ice cream I've ever had! One of the employees was kind enough to notify me that they had a vegan waffle cone when I had assumed their regular cones were vegan. He also found my brother's water bottle when he left it inside. Give that man a raise! We are so glad we found this place. Great ice cream and a super helpful and friendly staff. read more
