We stayed here for one night on our way to Maine - this was a new hotel for us, recommended by friends and we had a great experience. It's nothing fancy, but was clean and quiet - everything we needed for one night, just passing through town. Our room had one Queen bed and was just under $80 including tax for the night, which is very affordable for the high season given the convenient location.
I was impressed with how clean the place was and it seems like they have renovated recently bc the outside and bathrooms looked newer. We also had a newer tv, and the hanging flower baskets and benches outside give the place a nice curb appeal (you can tell they take pride in the place). The owner was really friendly and accessible if we needed anything. There was even a beautiful kitty who joined us for breakfast! Breakfast is pretty spare (bagels, some fruit, cereal, juice, coffee) but again all you need for a quick bite before hitting the road.
My only complaint is that the shower was terrible - absolutely no water pressure and the head was not adjustable at all - it hung pretty limp, which meant huddling under the tiny stream right over the plug. Also, the tub itself was very slippery (I almost fell once and gave myself a mild heart attack), so make sure you put the mat down! Other than that, our stay was great.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a place to sleep on their way to the US border/back. read more
