She claimed I never paid her, which I did, so it cost me $140 total ($70 twice) to get two sundresses hemmed a few inches. She is a scammer. Don't go here. read more

Be careful! She asked me to pay in cash. I paid her then tried on the pants she altered for me. As I was leaving she asked me to pay. I explained that I already gave her cash at the time I handed over my ticket but she claimed that she did not have the cash. I paid her again. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more

My daughter needed a dress altered for a wedding. It was a very simple adjustment. She left the dress for a week. When she went to pick it up the seems where she took it in we're visible. The seamstress noticed the huge problem and asked her to come back in an hour. When she did her dress had not been touched because it was lunchtime. When she returned another hour later the dress was a little better but the seem still rolled and shows the cut material. So after $60 we are now in search of another seamstress to fix the dress before the wedding. So frustrating. I do NOT recommend. read more

I have a customer of hers for years. I recommend her to My daughter who needed her dress shortened. My daughter and I went together she took the measurements at the end she said it will be $30 and she excepts cash or check she wanted to charge my daughter right there and then but she didn't have any cash on her and neither did I mind you the work was not done she wanted to charge in advance which was OK. She told us verbally it was OK and it would be $30 later on my daughter discovered She had written $60 on the little ticket that she gave her. Two weeks later she went to pick it up she charged her $60 my daughter explained to her you said $30 and you even want it that money in advance, She argued and said I will not do this type of work for $30. I don't understand what's happening to all these businesses you would think after the pandemic that they would appreciate customers coming back to them but they keep gouging their clients I do not recommend her at all and she lost me and my daughter is her clients for good. read more

I would highly recommend this wonderful woman and her shop to anyone! I recently took my wedding gown to her and she had it done flawlessly within only a couple of weeks and for a very reasonable price. She was very friendly, polite, personable and was a pleasure to do business with. She took my gown in about two sizes and added a bustle, and it was absolutely perfect! In addition to doing a fantastic job, her great customer service was much appreciated. My gown laced the entire way up in the back, and she was so helpful to offer for my Mom and Maid of Honor to come to her shop and show them how to lace it up properly. My Maid of Honor was so impressed that she will be bringing her own wedding gown to her this summer, and I will keep her in mind for any alterations that I may need in the future. read more

I would not recommend or go back to Scissors & Seams. Prices are not reasonable. My dress was promised in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks never heard from them so stopped by to find out they didn't start it yet. I received a text that the dress was ready. Went there to find the dress was not finished. I find they don't listen to your needs. I had to tell them things over and over, never feeling like they understand. Went there three days in a row and It was like they have never seen me before. When my dress was finished they changed the price to a higher amount and wanted to charge me more than I was told. read more
