For the side of our front door, we had them cut a set of large, perfectly rectangular cloths -- straight from Joann Fabrics -- into three narrow curtains. I needed my prom dress hemmed and many other places turned me down for the horse hair bottom that was difficult to work with. However, Flory was wonderful and was so professional! Terrible! Took Wedding dress in for alterations based on recommendations. Owner did not want my daughter to try on dress and just make alterations without it. insisted dress was tried on. Picked up dress, dress was not in bag, owner stated it was to big to fit in the bag. I was raining out, she stated it's ok to get it wet, it is just water and will dry. UGH!!!! then check out alterations, very crappy job. need to take dress to another place to correct this. read more

I'd give zero stars if I could. From what i was told, this is not the same Florys seamstress as before, it's under a new owner. The new owner botched my wedding gown to the point of it not fitting. She did not listen and felt she could take the alterations into her own hands apparently by taking it in at the bust which wasn't asked for, shortening straps more then discussed, poor bustling and hemmed it way too short. When I tried to express my concerns at the fitting I was told not to gain weigh.. which I hadn't done. It is now being fixed elsewhere and the seamstress was appalled at the work done the first time around. Hopefully it's fixable before my wedding. Avoid this place. read more

Particularly important is that Flory and her team consult with me about the garment. Because I like a dress doesn't mean that it is a good fit for me. In 2015 I had 2 weddings in my family. My daughter and my niece. So naturally I needed 4 dresses. Reception dinner and actual wedding. I brought all of them to Flory's Tailoring. My "mother of the bride" dress was shortened properly. However it lost some bids. I had to call Dillard's and they sent me a bag of bids and I put them back. I also found that 250 dollars just to make dress shorter a bit too pricy despite the fact that I realize that making shorter such complex dress might be a bit time consuming. The "aunt of the bride" dress came with nasty dark spot right on the center. Flory just recommended to send a brand new dress to dry cleaning shop and she would pay the bill. Or use spot remover of some kind. In my opinion the dress was not the same after that. And spot was still showing up. But I wore pearls and I carefully arranged them to cover the spot. :) I have narrow shoulders and Flory suggested moving sleeves closer to compensate for it. I tried to say that I will not be able to get into sleeves but she said "trust me". So I did. And I could not put my arms in. Then as I suggested in the very beginning she put shoulder pads and it saved one of the dresses. But not the other one. It had a foreign piece of fabric under armpit. and sleeve was all wrinkled.And it would pull up every minute. Flory suggested pulling it down when it happens. I said that I simply cannot going around pulling my sleeves down. So the success rate was 0.5 to 3.5 out of 4 dresses. I felt extremely disappointed. It did not prevent Flory charging a full price for this job. I had to alter -suite of my husband -2 dresses for my younger daughter -2 dresses for my mother -2 dresses for my mother in law. My older relatives are around 90 and it was my responsibility to organize the process. I went to the basement of Baron's to "Abe's Fine Tailoring & Tuxedo" with all these jobs. I never regretted this choice. Everything was done very professionally, in timely manner and with competitive pricing. read more

Amazing! I have had a sizable amount of alterations. Flory is the best. Her work is perfection. She had a real challenge with my dress. She ended up having to take the dress apart and work with a small amount of the fabric and then add it back to the dress. You could not tell at all. read more
