We showed up with a group of 12 people and the there was a brunette and an older man who were inside when we walked in. The brunette then said, "You need a reservation." There was no one inside the restaurant besides us. The old man was sitting on the couch and said, "We don't take hockey teams." He then muttered it will be an hour before you get your food. We all walked out completely surprised they didn't want our business. Both individuals had no people skills and were completely rude. Would never come back to this place, not even to golf.

We took the family to the Flume to enjoy the hike and on the way back, we were famished. So looked for places and this had banner reviews and we went for it. We weren't disappointed. Great food, superb ambiance, friendly service and excellent views. You go and order your food, wait a bit, pick it up and go sit down at one of four places in the property. Their lobster rolls are yummy. We also had burgers galore in our party. The seating areas are everywhere. One outside parallel to the parking lot. One cozy area next to the souvenir shop. One large one inside. And a terrace. Choices for everyone.

They are open early, and located inside a small indoor mall. It was bigger than I thought in the inside, with a good amount of table seating. They had all sorts of baked goods next to the ordering counter. They are made from scratch in-house, so some items might sell out before afternoon. We tried several of their latte offerings, and we enjoyed them all. For food, we had some of their breakfast sandwiches and wraps. The sandwiches are nice big size, with perfectly toasted bread. The fillings were generous, with melty cheese and fresh ingredients. We love their wraps too. Full Moon Wrap made with Bacon, Spinach, Tomatoes, and Fried Eggs with Cheddar Cheese is one of our favorite. The wrap was big and heavy, and it was packed with flavor! Everything inside was fresh and juicy. Delicious! Their New Moon Wrap with Sausage, Guacamole, tomatoes, Cheddar Cheese, and Fried Eggs is also a great choice. Very filling and tasty. We've been visiting this cafe for a couple of years now. Their quality has not gone down, everything is still delicious. The staffs are all very nice and friendly, welcoming and efficient. We are big fans!

The Switchback Grille is located high atop the mountain slopes of Bretton Woods. To get there, you get to take a scenic Gondola ride, which was really fun! I can see people getting up there during the summer for hiking and nature walks, and during the winter for ski and other winter activities. The restaurant is located right where you get off the Gondola on the top of the mountain. The window doors facing the gorgeous view was all open, with a handful or so of table seatings. If you want to soak up the view while dining, it is the place to be. They do have a large indoor dining area as well, where you can still enjoy the view of the mountain. We were there for Sunday Brunch, and they have a special Sunday Brunch menu. We got a Mimosa Flight. Three small fruity mimosas come in the order. One with strawberry, one with blueberry, and one with blackberry. One was better than the other, up to your preference, really. We decided to share Watermelon Salad. They brought the salad, pre-divided for us, which made it super easy to share, which was awesome! It was really good, watermelon was perfectly ripe, veggies were super fresh, it was delicious! For main, one of us had Seasonal Salad with Chicken. The chicken was a nice large piece, and grilled well. I had Brunch Burger, came with fries and a pickle. The egg was cooked to perfection, with runny yolk, just the way I like. The beef patty was juicy and satisfying, and overall, it was a pretty big burger. The fries were nice too. My hubby chose Egg Sandwich. The sandwich was big! It was meaty and with a good amount of moist eggs, fluffy ciabatta...quite good! They were all very filling. We had a nice brunch here. Everything was fresh, tasty, and the portion was nice and big. The service was polite and friendly. We were well taken care of. If you are in the area, and want to have a nice brunch with a gorgeous view of the mountains, hop on the gondola and head over to the Switchback Grille! You can do a nice hike after the meal to walk off the calories and get some exercise as well.
