The atmosphere is cozy traditional. It's down a few steps from the street level and you enter a somewhat dark, candle lit dining area. The tables and seating seem to be an eclectic collection that work well together. My server was prompt and I ordered a "Jever" pilsner beer to start. She brought over an English menu and made some suggestions. I took her suggestion for "Pork medallions with button mushrooms ala creme and fried potatoes". This was three thick slices of pork tenderloin. This and the potatoes were delicious and a very generous portion. The bowl portion came with an entire smoked sausage and was a large portion. The rump steak was as good as it can be. The beef remoulade was not rolled but thin sliced cold beef served with some onions and a mild horse radish sauce. My companion enjoyed the herring plate. Four types of herring.
