According to the menu notes, the family got into the F&B business 4 generations ago. They cheekily say that the town hall is next to them as opposed to the restaurant being next to the town hall. After tasting their sausages, we are inclined to agree! Seating was a surprise. No reservations and you do not wait to be seated. The waiter told us to grab a table as soon as the previous occupants leave. The white sausages were served in a consommé. The brown sausages were served with sauerkraut. There were two types of mustard. Our son and I much preferred the dark brown one with our white sausages. We ordered a bottle of Riesling as well as water. Finally, I need to talk about their pretzels. These are the best pretzels we've ever had. They were soft and fragrant. The salt on them isn't hard, but crumbles easily when pressed. Can't believe I had been eating supermarket bakery pretzels since we arrived in Munster for the past several days. The pretzels are such a draw that the four ladies at the table next to us simply ordered a beer and a pretzel each.
