Entree ranges from around EUR 20-35. Lunch menus on offer had the choice between a veil dish and pasta, pro secco and small water for EUR 20.
Nice atmosphere, but no view to the Festspielhaus.
Service was friendly and prompt.
Food is tasty overall.
Lunch special: Veil was tender and claimed to be cooked over open beech wood fire. Baby potatoes were roasted and came with some vegetables. It was a good meal, but decidedly lacked a hoped for special flavor to justify the price. For the benefit of being served promptly in order to make it to the performance on time, all ingredients seemed to be pre-cooked for the day.
Salmon pasta: big portion. Pasta had some bite but was on the soft side. Flavors were good.
White wine was pleasant, and went well with the salmon pasta dish.
Overall, a visit which was just not quite memorable enough in relation to the overall tab.
