I'm very honored to write the first English language review of this restaurant. I went to this establishment while in Bayreuth for the festival this past summer. You get a great sense of history dining in this restaurant with its association with the composer Richard Wagner. Unfortunately the menu is only in German so you do have to work your way thru it. As far as I can tell, the staff also is only German speaking but they were all very welcoming and contributed to the overall experience. The food is local cuisine; heartily and delicious. Don't expect anything fancy, just a very well prepared and satisfying meal. I hope to visit this restaurant again on a future visit to Bayreuth. read more
