I was in by 8:15 and on my way home by 9:45. The front office staff is friendly and efficient. Once in peri-op, the nurses finalized my prep and had me ready to go. Both the GI doctor and the anesthesiologist were professional and took excellent care of me. I slept through the procedure, so I am unable to give comment. Honestly, the hardest part was the preparation at home. The team made the rest of the process a breeze.

Finding a new primary care doc is always stressful, but I am glad I did my research and came across…read morethis one. Basically the only way to *choose* a doctor is based off their credentials and background. I wish there were a consistent review platform for healthcare providers. I found Dr. Leigh Ball's page and realized she was also a sleep specialist, which worked well for me since I was having some issues with insomnia. I am so happy with Dr. Ball. She takes time to listen, asks great questions and is understanding. She involves my partner when he comes to appointments with me but always sleeps the focus on me. She was also willing to do virtual apts. She is responsive via MyChart. Great experience with her. The office itself is in the CAM. Pretty basic, staff is nice, straight to the point. I've never had to wait more than like 30 mins tops to be seen. They can also do some blood work right there which is nice. Oh, and the views of the city from the CAM are a nice little perk.

I can't imagine a worse doctor. He is medically incompetent, has no concern for his patients, and…read moreis totally arrogant. I went to him with a dry cough. With no evidence that it was a bacterial infection, he prescribed antibiotics. He did not consider any other possibilities and did not schedule a follow-up appointment in case he was wrong. When I continued to get worse, I contacted a pulmonologist who would not make an appointment with me until I had a referral from Dr. Butler. Dr. Butler refused to make a referral until I had an appointment. I told him the pulmonologist wouldn't allow that, and he was being arrogant to insist on doing something his way that wouldn't work. He then fired me as a patient. Since I could not get an appointment with another primary care physician for months, that meant I had had no available medical care at a time when it was obvious that I needed medical care. In desperation, I asked my cardiologist to act as my primary care physician. He ordered a CT scan which showed that I had a large pulmonary embolism and a major lung infarction. If the cardiologist had not diagnosed the problem and prescribed anticoagulants, I likely would have died. Any doctor who knows little about medicine, knows nothing about how to approach medical problems, and doesn't care about his patients has no right to be a doctor.

Having…read morenever been to an urgent care, I can't really compare my experience to anything but I've also heard of co-worker's and friend's experiences in an urgent care situation that sounded way better than my experience here. Being fairly sick and not wanting to drive to Clayton/Richmond Heights area to see my primary care physician, I decided to drive myself to this facility which is only 1.6 miles from home. I came in and was immediately greeted by the woman at the front desk who then asked me what I needed. I told her I've had this cough for a while and I started having a fever 2 nights in a row and wanted to see someone about it. She asked me for my insurance card and an ID then called someone from the back to take my information. From the sound of it, the other woman who was in the back when I came in was training and needed some practice. When you come in, they have a sign that asks you wear a mask if you have a cough. They have a box full of it sitting on the check-in desk so I took one and put it on while I waited for them to check me in. Granted, the woman was still training, it still took a good half an hour to put in all my information and honestly, I didn't like how she asked me some confidential information openly instead of just handing me the paperwork or their ipad to answer these questions. She did hand me the ipad to do 1 medical history page but she openly asked other confidential information. There was no one else in the waiting room for most of my check-in time, however, I still don't think they should ask you some medical history questions openly like they did with me. In fact, one guy came in while I was telling her about my "surgery" which was kind of uncomfortable since I had to tell her what it was instead of just writing it down or typing it into the ipad while another person (who isn't an office personnel or related to me) was within a good hearing distance. Finally, I was made to wait in the exam room. Not a minute later, someone came in to take my vitals. She asked about the medications listed to confirm they were correct and the left the room. About 10 minutes later, she opened the door and asked me loudly if I was currently on a certain medication and left once more. I waited about 45 minutes from the time they took my vitals to when the doctor walked in to the exam room. He asked some questions, did his checks and left... Came back not 3 minutes later to give me some printouts of the services rendered along with the list of prescription. They had called it in to the pharmacy already which was nice. Overall, if I had to go to urgent care again I am more inclined to driving to Kirkwood instead and trying my luck over there. It's been over a week since my visit and my cough did improve and no more fever but I was just not that impressed with this medical facility. The place was clean enough but they could use some training on handling confidential information and patient's medical history.

I haven't had a primary care provider since I graduated from college. I was somewhat apprehensive…read moreabout taking a trip to see the doctor because I am very particular about the quality of care I receive. Our health is pretty serious and intimate so I really would like to feel positive about my encounters with doctors (or nurse practitioners) After reading through several care providers and their reviews on ZocDoc, I decided to go with Secil Schodroski . All of her reviews are positive. So I set up an appointment for myself and my fiancée (He did NOT want to take part in this btw (:) Anyways we got to the place and there's a sign on the door that says something about Men's Health Center. I'm totally confused at this point because I'm not a man but my information was accepted online. I started wondering if I checked that I was indeed a male on the application. So we go inside and we are greeted by a very nice receptionist. I then asked her did they take women patients too. She laughed and said yes, that they previously only saw men, but they see women now and were in the process of changing over their signs. Phew! She handed us our paperwork and we got to work. The paperwork asked typical medical questions. It also asked about spontaneous erections :). I just wrote N/A smiley face. Shortly after completing the paper work, they called us back. We were able to be seen in the same room at the same time which I liked and appreciated. As far as the actual visit with Secil and Erica (I can't remember her exact role. I think she was a student but just as amazing!), it was fantastic. Secil is hilarious, kind, and professional. She engaged us and treated us like actual people versus boring ole patients. Erica was the same! Definitely not your "standard" visit but if you want to laugh and get an amazing experience, this is the place to go. My fiancée also enjoyed the visit too (:
