We own multiple vehicles-2 Chevy Silverado's and the seats were never great from new. Both have the upgraded package of leather seats, adjustable lumbar support and dual heaters in the seats. Yet with these options still very incomparable. About a year ago we brought one of these trucks into Belluz Upholstery. The wire and springs in the seats were collapsed and broken. The factory seat foam was disintegrating and the leather was starting to show signs of cracking. Even though the leather had been treated with Lexol or Mink oil-high quality leather preservatives. Joe and his team replaced the seat covers with Katskin Leather seat covers that are very high quality and superior to the factory seat covers. The leather is considerably thicker and softer than the factory OEM seat covers. Belluz rebuilt the wire and springs in the seats. They installed a combination of higher quality low and high density foam replacing the cheap OEM foam. Although just a Chevy truck it is now by and large the most comparable seats of any vehicle we've owned. That includes a new luxury package SUV we recently purchased including a BMW roadster we currently own and several Mercedes we've owned in the past. Mercedes were a SL roadster, Luxury SUV and sedan. The only other vehicles we currently or have owned that are in the same league as the seats Belluz have rebuilt and reupholstered on this Chevy Truck are a Toyota Tundra LTD fully loaded and two Honda Accords we currently own. If one visits Belluz Upholstery take a close look at the antique and upscale furniture they have or are in process of reupholstering-it doesn't get any better than this. There's a reason upholstery shops come and go. As we understand Belluz has been in business 40+ years. The price we were charged seemed fair and reasonable.

Most of what I own is Stihl equipment, chainsaws, grass trimmers etc. and in the past I have always taken my power equipment to them to get serviced and or repaired. About 6 to 8 months ago I took my Stihl grass trimmer( FS 90 R) in to them because it was acting like it was fuel starved ( possibly fuel line or carb) I got it back in less than a week they had stated it was a fuel line leak and that they had replaced the hose's. I went to use it a couple days later and fuel began to literally pour out of it! I immediately took it back and told them about it. Then guy at the front desk told me that he will let the the person who repaired know. ( ok thanks let me know) three weeks went by I called. The answer I got that they have been extremely busy, give us in another week or so. To make a long story short it took me almost 4 months to get it back!! I went to go get it to take to a Stihl dealership in Santa Maria and got accused of being rude ?!?? I will never deal with them again. And most all of my Stihl equipment was purchased from them in the past ( I was trying to keep my business local). PS the nipple off the fuel tank had been mysteriously cracked almost broken off!!! Update as of 09/26/20 took my grass trimmer to an authorized STIHL dealer in Santa Maria. wrong fuel tank installed, multiple gaskets and O rings missing. He's going to check the block serial # to see if it's the original engine?!?!?!?

What we liked about him was how he tried to take us through the process and teach us about our own refrigerator and what he was doing. He also provided us with a few maintenance tips to keep it running smoothly in the future. His work was very quick and efficient, and his demeanor was kind and attentive. We hope not to ever need service on our appliances again... but when we inevitably do, Tikal Appliance is the first and only place we'll call.

I had removed the engine from my 99 Mustang Cobra at 200,000 miles primarily as a precaution as these motors die a violent death if the timing chain driving the overhead cams takes a dive. Many of the engines died a violent death prior to reaching 100,000 miles. Their teardown of the engine included a detailed, measured assessment of virtually every component for wear. For those not understanding what an engine tech teardown includes the cost may seem excessive when compared to the corner shop eyeballing stuff. The parts list included those scheduled for replacement plus those needing replacement. The careful inspection was necessary to understand what was happening with my motor. The alternative approach used under the shade tree either replaces more than necessary or misses things that will come back to haunt the owner. Thankfully due to the care received from a shop in LA, Mobil 1 + Lucas additive the engine was in very good shape and needed only pistons, rings, valves , timing chain and other wear items. The price was the price they quoted. The only surprise was the smoothness of the engine when I picked up the car from the installation shop next door. It was like a turbine had been installed. Expensive , somewhat Worth it yes ^3

All this, even in spite of the fact that it was just before Fourth of July and they were busy with lots of customers who were trying to leave for the weekend. The part needed for my fridge was uncommon, but they had it in stock and I was back on the road the same day. Besides being knowledgable and quick, they were super nice and helpful, and good to communicate with me. Now I know where I'll be going for any issues with my camper. And for folks who are traveling through, there's a really great RV park across the street (Flying Flags RV park) and Bob's does mobile service. Seems like a perfect combination.
