    We took our vehicle here to get the seats reupholstered, met with Mr. Lam and one of his employees,…read moregot a price to do the work and he ordered some materials that he said would arrive last Thursday (8 days ago) and that we could bring the seats in when the material arrived. We made it very clear we needed the work done immediately and they said they could get on it immediately. They said they would call when the material arrived. We didn't hear back from them so I brought the seats over on Monday, met with Mr. Lam and the employee again, they stated the material had in fact arrived last week, I reiterated the need for them right away and was told they would "double team" it immediately and get them done. They said the first seat would take a day or two and they would send photos to verify that was what we wanted. We didn't hear from them all week and today, Friday, we called and asked the status and were told they hadn't started because "right after you left on Monday we got a lot of work and won't be able to start yours for minimum of two weeks". So they promised us they were available, had the seats and the materials, were going to "double team" our seats immediately, and then they blow us off for what amounts to a minimum of 3 weeks after they said they would start. We live about 35 miles away (70 miles round-trip), made three trips to his facility, all for nothing. Mr. Lam is a dishonorable man and shouldn't be trusted to keep his word. Mr. Lam gets zero stars, his employee gets one star for immediately returning our deposit in cash and reimbursing me for the labor I spent to take the seats out of my vehicle so it would expedite the process.

    I normally don't write bad reviews on here but my (short) experience I had at Leo's last week…read moredeemed an honest review of my interaction. I just recently purchased a car that needed the convertible rear window seam fixed so I naturally searched google and here (YELP) to see what came up, having never needed an upholstery shop in the past I wanted to see what my local options were. Instead of calling I like to meet face to face when it comes to car stuff in order to see who I feel most comfortable leaving my car with and hopefully to build lasting connections since I modify a lot of cars. Leo's was at the top of the list in my online search so I visited them first. I met with who I believe was Leo and explained what I was looking for, he looked over my car and gave me a quick quote. He then offered to grab a business card so I can call when I'm ready. I said "I would love one because I just picked up the car and never used anyone for upholstery so I'm shopping around". This is where the whole experience unexpectedly turned. Leo instantly changed his tone with an almost child like response of "well I'm not going to give you my card if you're shopping around...that's a waste of my time...you're wasting my time". Keep in mind he was already walking away to grab the card from his office and we've only been talking for no more than 5 or 6 minutes. I was shocked to hear this response and asked why he thought I was wasting his time (which must be extremely valuable if he can't spare 5 minutes for a potential new customer). He responded with "you're shopping around, you're not going to come back, my price can't compete with others" etc. I tried to tell him he was the first place I've been to and naturally like any consumer I'm going to go around to a few places, get quotes, check out their work, ask friends if they recommend them, etc. before I make a decision but I couldn't get a word in. He continued ranting, saying he does quality work (which I don't doubt judging by other reviews and photos) and I'm not going to pay for his quality of work so I can go somewhere else as he proceeded to walk away. I was shocked that in a matter of me telling him "yes, I would love a card" that he felt the need to assume I was looking for a bargain fix, and even if I was, he decided to throw out all customer service skills a business owner should have when reacting with a potential customer. The irony of all this, and why I'm giving two stars and not one, is because Leo's price was actually one of the cheaper prices I was quoted that day so had he not freaked out on me and treated me like a real customer I would've been back that afternoon to book my appointment based on the combination of the quality of work, price, and my initial impression of him...until his unwarranted attitude change. This is a heads up for people shopping around, I'd only recommend Leo's if you undoubtedly know you're going to book an appointment upon your visit because the prices are fair and the work looked good, however the customer service is a crapshoot based on my visit and to me that goes a long ways.

    My husband and I took some chair cushions in to Leo's on a saturday morning to have them re-stuffed…read morewith foam. When we arrived, we met Lisa who helped us decide what kind of foam to use, measured the cushions and called Leo to get a price. The cost was less than $75 for both cushions. We were told they would be ready on monday. Monday arrived and Lisa called me with an update, and said that there was a bit of a problem and I needed to call her back. The problem was simple, there were some tears in the seam (where D rings had been), and he wanted to know if we wanted new d-rings or just to sew the holes up. We decided to sew the holes up, and Leo said our cushions would be ready in 15 minutes! He sewed them up perfectly, our cushions have never been better, and the price was perfect. We're very happy with our experience at Leo's and will be back when we have more work for them!
