When I arrived at the Communications site inside Vandenberg AFB, I expected the Contractor to have…read morecompleted the job already, as it was just a minor antenna change-out. To my dismay, the Contractor haven't even started the job yet, as the Air Base authority didn't allow anyone to climb the tower due to structural issue of the tower. For any antenna work to be done on the tower, the Contractor must use a Man-lift, which is a retractable boom with bucket at the top. The Contractor asked if he could have the job re-scheduled for another day. I told him that he should try calling a heavy equipment rental company in Santa Maria, which is only about 20-miles away from VAFB, if they got a Man-lift available for immediate delivery. The guy at Hertz Equipment Rental said that they got it and it will be there on the site in 45-minutes. Actually, the Man-lift got there in 40-minutes, got the job done and we didn't have to re-schedule it. I really don't know if there's anybody here who needs to rent a Man-lift at all, but if ever you do need one in Santa Barbara County area, Herts Rental is the company to call.

Doing a project in our backyard, we decided now is a good time to exhaust their resources. There's very little info online, but the staff onsite are super informative. They have a plethora of items. Today we rented a dump trailer and we didn't have the right tow hitch, but they solved that quickly by finding the right one. They have great hours and their prices are pretty good for this area. Just note, they are not open on Sunday's. Seems like a lot of rentals can be paid for upon return, too.

You admit your mistakes yourself. All you had to say was "I was not aware that you hadn't been informed, and for that I apologize." If you're the business owner, shouldn't you be overseeing the communication? I believe the reason you "chose" not to work with us (and it's mutual, don't forget) is that what you call "problems from miles away" is a woman who has standards and holds people accountable. If you avoid that, it says a lot about the kind of job you would do. If you were confident you would do a good job, you wouldn't recoil. If you can't accept honest criticism, maybe don't keep engaging on Yelp. Bye.

When we called the lady (forgive me I cant remember her name ) she was very nice. she told us she didn't have the part to ship to us. But here is where it service above and beyond she called us back with part locations in our area and the next mooring I was able to drive 30 miles to pick the Part up, so the boat could be back up and running in top condition. They only use factory authorized parts and service techniques. Mary being the face of the business, great communication, honest estimates, great technicians. Couldn't be happier. I have never experienced this before at a U-Haul! That seems super sketchy and that is horrible service. Don't recommend.
