They carry something for the whole family, even the dogs! Highly recommend stopping in before your next adventure or just to browse around. They have many weekly and monthly events for the community. They host film fests and special annual events like a chili cook off, 5 points adventure film fest, a gear swap and so much more!

If you're resolving to get outdoors more, you should definitely plan on making a trip to 3 Rivers…read moreOutdoor Company. They sell both new and used outdoor equipment, as well as maintain a calendar of various community events that people can and should take advantage of. On their website the group talks about being particularly focused on helping Pittsburgh climbers, hikers, bikers, runners, campers, paddlers, and "outdoor adventure lovers." Obviously that last bit is pretty general, but I find the statement helpful overall since it does a great job of summarizing what kinds of gear you'll find at their shop. No matter your experience level, you're welcome here, as the staff want to help people of all experience levels explore and access different outdoor activities. In other words: this is the perfect place to browse and ask questions that can help you best prepare for your next/new adventure. In addition to operating a storefront, the 3 Rivers staff also regularly coordinate outdoor events and activities that people can sign up for. Naturally some activities are more seasonal than others (looking at you, kayaking!). Others happen year-round, including monthly night hikes in Frick Park. It's a shame this shop is currently so far out of my way, because if I was closer I'd probably stop in more often, even if only to take advantage of their community fireside hours. Still, it's great that they're here in the city at all - and it just makes my rare visits that much more delightful and special!

In the past several months, I have shopped for women's clothing here, and my husband has shopped for men's sneakers and t-shirts. I saw name brands such as CALIA, Nike, Under Armour, and Patagonia. I am very upper-middle-class, and I thought that many of the prices were high, such as $60 for a basic t-shirt. We bought socks, sneakers, and a t-shirt, which had high prices but are a very good quality. The cashiers promptly rang up our purchases and thanked us.

It's very expensive, but then everything in the Mall is. I was in a bad mood because my reason for coming to this Mall - the bubble tea stand - was closed down. But we still had fun shopping. Or I should say, they had fun shopping and I tolerated it. Champs is a pretty cool store and I still wear my shirt fairly regularly.

As a…read moreparent of three growing teenage boys who play multiple sports, I can tell you, athletic shoes don't last long around here. Whether they outgrow them, tear them up on the field, or just straight-up lose them (yes, it's happened), we're constantly replacing sneakers, cleats, and slides. This place delivers. We've walked out with multiple pairs of Nikes for under $100 total. Not each--total. It's honestly the only way to keep up without draining our bank account. Pro tip: Keep an eye out for the sales racks and clearance events. We've scored name-brand shoes and gear for a fraction of what we'd pay anywhere else. And it's not just shoes--tons of athletic wear, backpacks, socks, you name it. It's hit or miss sometimes depending on inventory, but when you hit? It's gold. Bottom line: If you've got growing athletes at home and a budget that can't keep up with full-price gear every season, Going, Going, Gone! is 100% worth the stop.
