I really wanted to support this young company, but unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. My husband signed up for lawn treatments, and the first appointment was postponed because someone was sick. It was then pushed back again, and the same thing almost happened when our large landscaping project was scheduled. We received a text at 7:00 a.m. saying they wanted to postpone a job that was supposed to start at 8:00 a.m. Thankfully, they did end up showing. Unfortunately, the problems didn't end there. Their equipment damaged my front lawn, several of the plants they installed were already dead, and the underground drain extensions were installed incorrectly, causing water to pool after it rained. Someone eventually had to come back to fix that issue. The edging wasn't completed properly, and the mulch was spilling over into the lawn. In the end, I had to hire a completely different landscaping company to redo and fix much of the work, which cost us even more money. I will say that the two young men who completed the project were polite, hardworking, and respectful, and the salesperson was great to work with. My disappointment is with the overall management of the project and the lack of professionalism from the owner. After spending thousands of dollars, this experience was extremely frustrating. We used Schultz Lawncare for over two years, and until recently, their weekly service was consistent and reliable. Unfortunately, that changed when my neighbor and I noticed significant damage to both of our backyard fences -- damage that appeared to be caused by their ride-on lawn mowers. When I brought this to Schultz's attention, they flatly refused to even inspect the property. During my phone call with Danielle from the company, I was told to "stop talking" -- not exactly the kind of customer service you'd expect after two years of consistent business. Because I didn't submit a complaint within 48 hours and couldn't provide video footage (per their internal policy), they denied any responsibility and declined to even evaluate the damage. In my view, this was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. A fair and reasonable company would at least inspect the issue and attempt to work with the customer. I've since submitted a formal complaint to the Wisconsin DATCP Consumer Protection division. The damage to the fence may not be fully visible in photos due to image resolution, but in person, it's obvious: bent chain links, warped sections, loosened ties, and consistent pressure damage at the base of the fence -- the kind that happens after repeated contact with heavy mower equipment. The integrity of the fence is clearly compromised, and anyone walking by can see it. My advice to others: If you choose to work with Schultz Lawncare -- or any similar provider -- insist on written terms outlining responsibility for property damage, inspection procedures, timelines, and communication expectations. Better yet, consider working with a company that doesn't stonewall long-term customers the moment an issue arises. read more

Hired them three years ago to do plantings on North side of our house. Nothing grew but thistles. Also asked if they could plant a few bulbs around a tree out front. After they left, I checked their "work". The bulbs were left in a pile on the ground. I called Connor. Why wasn't the work checked before they left? No response. No responsibility. ​Value? Not even a customer, neighbor to a customer and had to deal with this atrocious company. Put two piles of dirt on both sides of the road, one blocking our mailboxes and one over our street sewer. The city had to come out with the street sweeper because they were ungodly messy, and later had to vac the entire sewer from how much dirt was going down there. Tried cleaning off the road with blowers directed towards MY house. Our cars, gazebo, children's toys and every single one of our belongings in the back yard is covered with dirt. Confronted them by a relative and was told that's what car washes are for. Messaged the company directly and he took zero accountability for him and his workers stating that what they were doing was standard practice. Well the work shows for itself and I wouldn't pay a dime for it. What a rip off, if that were my lawn I would demand a refund for that sub-par work.. if you can even call it that. read more

Schultz Lawncare does an excellent job on our challenging lawn, which slopes toward the water. Friends who are boating on the water send us pictures of the beautiful mowing patterns and ask "Who is doing your lawn .. it looks like something out of a magazine?!" We couldn't agree more! read more

Buyer Beware of this lawn service! The owner is terrible at respectful communication. They are over-priced and offer too many excuses to get contracted (yearly contract) work down properly. Poor management of staff and scheduling led to many problems. And, yes, he pays his staff to solicit positive reviews. I did do a very positive review of the two mowings that were done by a specific employee (Vince) because he truly did a fantastic job of following instructions without having to repeat them by me. He certainly did a better job than his boss/owner of the company. Vince didn't miss a beat! And with Buyer Beware, you should be very aware that Schultz Lawn Care is no longer located at the Oakbridge St address they list in Neenah. When I was trying to find them to get a response (because they were not returning my calls or emails or texts, I found the shop at the Oakbridge St address to be padlocked shut and really no signs of active business life. That concerned me a LOT! Schultz also unexpectedly and suddenly ended my year-long contract, and claim it was mutual (it was not). So they are in breach of contract. It left me looking for another lawn service as I am still recovering from major knee surgeries that limit my safe mobility. Never again! Beware that they are also asking their year-round contract customers to pay up front for several months, offering a "discount" if you do so. I don't trust that they can or will deliver. So, please ask lots of questions and be careful. There are plenty of other reputable and customer-oriented services out there. I had a different service before them but had to switch when they could not deliver on snow clearing. Schultz Lawn said I had to do a year-round contract in order to get both mowing and snow clearing. I get the reasons why, but they did not prioritize year-round contracts at all. Left my yard unmowed for 12 days at the end of May and it was a mess for Memorial Day weekend when I was supposed to have company over. I had to find a different location to have people over! I now have a new service that again is customer-oriented like my very first service. Same yard, same instructions and expectations from me. No problems with either of them. We had some weeding/bed cleanup done, rock and mulch installation and a patio wash and re-sand. We were so happy with the work in the rock and mulch areas that we immediately signed up for regular lawn care (weed and pest control.) Their pricing is very competitive and they seem to be resourced well for taking on new clients quickly. I'm not in love with the way the patio turned out, the softscape stuff is definitely more their forte, but I'm very impressed with their customer service while they continue to complete tweaks on the patio. Planning to continue using them in the future too, not just this summer. Overall a great company to work with. read more

Buyer beware! We contracted Schultz Lawn Care for a hardscape project. The quality of workmanship is very poor. We are having to re-do the pergola due to severly bowed boards, poor quality lumber with large and loose knots, and poor construction techniques by poorly installing modified joist hangers to hang all the main beams. We also have to have the siding fixed because of the way that it was cut around the stairs. The stair treads are too narrow to step on with excessive gaps which were filled with caulk. Many of the joints between pavers are excessive and the pavers are not parallel to the house. Clean up after the job was complete was also very poor, lots of tar marks on the street and on our driveway. read more

Shady owner and driver, Jamie Carr! You both should be ashamed of yourselves! Their driver will rear end you and tell you that their brakes failed, but then file a claim with insurance and tell insurance that someone rear ended them, but drove off (and the driver decided not to call the police for a hit-and-run,no way!) so that they don't have to take responsibility. Good thing nowadays everyone has a ring cam so when you sue the driver you can prove otherwise! read more
