I was directed here by my physician to see if my hearing loss was curable. I have dealt with many a…read moreyears of hearing disabilities and have had my share of visits with ENT's. I have had pretty much every procedure they offer and know what each test is for. At my visit the ENT doctor advised me that my only option was hearing aids, at which I had already been told. The service at the visit is not why I wouldn't recommend Platinum Ear, Nose and Throat. I wouldn't recommend them because of their billing practices. I received a bill from them after my insurance had paid all they would cover. It was an itemized bill so imagine my surprise when I saw several services that I knew I never received at my visit. I called the billing office to complain and after several minutes of argumentation, the girl in the billing department stated that it didn't matter what I received that I had signed the paperwork when I was leaving stating I did. My bad again for not reading the fine print. I told her I wasn't happy with her response and whether I signed the paper or not they shouldn't charge me for services not received. She told me that she would have to let me speak to the manager and that she happened to be out that day and would have to call me back. A month later and I have never received that call, that's their answer to customer service. If you believe you will give this place a try, by all means go. The doctor really wasn't that bad. However, do yourself a solid and make note of the procedures that are given to you and be sure to read and understand the paperwork that they will ask you to sign. Not a good way to do business especially taking advantage of people whom don't read the paperwork.

I live in a number of locations but only seek ENT help from Dr. Aronsohn. His staff is amazing and they care. While some delay may occur at any medical office, waiting nearly an hour as I did without some explanation paper than "backlog" and some assurance of corrective administrative action means it is time to scratch this practice from my list. There are plenty of other ENT practitioners around. Nothing I say goes to medical competence, though if a practice imposes such a strict if not impossible schedule on its providers one might begin to imagine rushed procedures and certainly a lowered level of concern for the patient.
