Then he performed a very comprehensive test. He was efficient, knowledgeable and made me feel very relaxed & comfortable. Then I met with Dr. Bastianelli - my ENT Doctor- who explained what they expected once they had the second test - my sonogram - which, unfortunately, hadn't been forwarded to him. He was very professional, and answered all my questions & concerns. I told him I'd expedite delivery of my sonogram. Two days later I dropped off the sonogram (04/15) and my Consultation Appointment is in three days. I expect that whatever the test results show I will be in good hands.

I was directed here by my physician to see if my hearing loss was curable. I have dealt with many a…read moreyears of hearing disabilities and have had my share of visits with ENT's. I have had pretty much every procedure they offer and know what each test is for. At my visit the ENT doctor advised me that my only option was hearing aids, at which I had already been told. The service at the visit is not why I wouldn't recommend Platinum Ear, Nose and Throat. I wouldn't recommend them because of their billing practices. I received a bill from them after my insurance had paid all they would cover. It was an itemized bill so imagine my surprise when I saw several services that I knew I never received at my visit. I called the billing office to complain and after several minutes of argumentation, the girl in the billing department stated that it didn't matter what I received that I had signed the paperwork when I was leaving stating I did. My bad again for not reading the fine print. I told her I wasn't happy with her response and whether I signed the paper or not they shouldn't charge me for services not received. She told me that she would have to let me speak to the manager and that she happened to be out that day and would have to call me back. A month later and I have never received that call, that's their answer to customer service. If you believe you will give this place a try, by all means go. The doctor really wasn't that bad. However, do yourself a solid and make note of the procedures that are given to you and be sure to read and understand the paperwork that they will ask you to sign. Not a good way to do business especially taking advantage of people whom don't read the paperwork.

I chose Dr. Schrager because he was in a medical area I knew and I did not have anybody to ask for a referral. I saw him and he sent me for a cat scan. I know the scan came back because the tech said he would have it by Monday. He did not call me so I drove to the office and he implied that I had throat cancer. I asked him to give something for my throat and he told me that anything he did would just be a "band aide" and he told me to see another doctor in Palm because so they could do a biopsy. I went to the other doctor and much the same with him so I set up an appt. I started getting very frightened because these were doctors I did not know and any resource I called did not have any rating on either of them. My mother had cancer for 10 years and finally gave up on her own so I called her Oncologist in Los Angeles. Having known that doctor for years, I hoped to depend on him for treatment so I left for Los Angeles and the Angeles Clinic. First I stopped to have a complete evaluation with an ENT specialist who checked my throat up and down and what I had was a very bad Candida infection which has much info from the CDC on Candida infection running rampant all over the world and is resistant to most fungal treatments. Now I am in treatment with an Infectious Disease doctor and she has done many tests on me and I have not gotten the results yet but now my husband has the same symptoms I do, so we're both being treated and should have the results tomorrow. Nothing I can do about Dr. Schrager because we're all entitled to a second opinion but I would almost call that Malpractice. It sure scared the hell out of me and there was no radiology reading on the results of my Cat Scan. I find that FL has the worst healthcare yet and it's getting worse. I have lived in a few different states and never encountered such medical insanity. People, be your own advocate and don't let strangers that are hungry for a buck, shoot you down. I have been so depressed from this I'm on antidepressants.

Within a few minutes, Paul is called in with everyone else to have this done. I'm patiently waiting for him in the waiting room. It didn't take long. They had an assembly line for this procedure. Results will be given to us within a few days at the next appointment.
