Great park for runners, walkers and children. Nice shade and sun. Best kept secret in the area.

Over the last 20 years the maintenance & investment has improved dramatically including public / private work developing the Spring Creek Trail corridor which winds for ~ 30 miles from Montgomery County through Harris County including this great nature park near Bush Intercontinenetal Airport. This Jesse H Jones offers horsetrails, creek beaches, nature trails, play areas for kids, picnic areas, biking areas and dog friendly. This is a great four season park! Best in cooler months but the creek is great when it gets hot.

On the day I came here for my bike ride, they had Nature Fest and we were greeted by volunteers who told us where to park and what to expect. They have clean bathrooms and it feels very safe. I was there for my bike ride group so I wasn't planning on any of that but it turned out to be a nice way to end the ride. Before the ride, I was greeted by some awesome people from the Kingwood Bicycles who fixed an issue I was having with my bike that I couldn't figure out and later even did me a solid by adjusting my gears and tightening up my wheel! Amazing people. As far as the bike path goes, it is probably the best I've seen. There is lots of tree cover and has high quality pavement. there are nice twists and turns and lots of scenery. The path is shared between hikers, riders, and horses and everybody seemed to know the assignment of slower traffic staying on the right. If go ride long enough, heading west, you'll hit Pundt Park that has a bathroom and water. It's a nice break point. I went about 11 miles out but the path seemed to go further. The only thing to not like about this path is you have to double back but it's still great.

Definitely wear tennis shoes or closed toe shoes here. The trails are a good mixture of dirt and then some parts are cement. Nice fishing spot as well. Catch and release only. Be careful letting smaller kids near the pond. I have seen a kid slip and fall in. He was okay and got out, but after seeing that I keep an extra eye on my kids if we want to get close to the pond. They have a sand volleyball court. Lots of walking trails. Even behind the trees where a retention pond is. They have covered pavilions with picnic tables and bbq pits. Also love that the playground is covered and kids can play in the shade. That's a MUST for Texas parks!

Super impressed by this park!…read more They've done a really great job with adding beautiful manmade waterfalls and such. The walking trail is very pleasant. FYI: the trail is paved and stroller accessible. On the way back, we took another trail which was dirt and had no issue taking the stroller on that as well. Nice playground for kids. There are bathrooms just past the playground. I initially thought they were closed because the gate had the lock still on it (in a locked position) but luckily, someone advised me that they were actually open. So, don't go by appearances and actually tug on the door! There are two relatively small parking lots that fill up quickly but there is also street parking available.

The playground is one of a kind, my kids love it. There is a small pond with lily pads covering the top and beautiful coi fish. The pond has a railed walking path through it that has a few benches throughout. Catch and release fishing is allowed. There are several alligator warning signs however I've never seen any myself but I spoke to a couple people there that say they have in fact spotted the alligators near the water a time or two. This is a nice place to have a birthday party because there is a covered pavilion with picnic tables underneath and plenty of space for games and even to hang a piñata. There are bathrooms with water fountains and they are always clean and well-kept. Definitely recommend this park.

I didn't see or hear any frogs though so I guess the alligator ate them all. Now that I think of it, I didn't hear any wildlife at all. Oh hell nah. I refuse to go back and become somebody's dinner. I'm not saying the park isn't safe. There were several people walking the trail several times. Honestly, the trail is a little too short for me. I'm not the type to walk in circles all day. The playground is nice. It looks modern and has a lot of cool obstacles. Of course, I didn't get my big a** on it BUT IT DID CROSS MY MIND lol The restrooms were very clean for a park. It's a nice little park but after I saw that alligator sign! It was a wrap.
