They truly have my respect, not only as teachers.. but as thinkers, innovators, and leaders in education. The curriculum is challenging and encourages an understanding of the liberal arts and sciences, balanced by the values of forgiveness, love, and understanding deeply rooted in Christian belief systems. Their Scottish Arts program is unbelievable to see and I am constantly amazed at the artistic abilities of the students who have been encouraged over the years by the school. My daughter, who deals with sensory issues that affect her learning, has always been treated with the utmost respect and has been encouraged to embrace new ideas while being challenged by proven methods of teaching that instill an understanding of the world around her while teaching her to effectively communicate those ideas. I am not an alumni and I was only aware of the school through long time friends. But, having faced the challenges of the current public school system with our oldest child, my wife and I came to believe that a private school was our only acceptable option for our youngest child (and any future children). We explored several private schools in Houston and decided on St. Thomas' based on a tour of the school and talking with faculty and others who knew of or had experienced the school. Also, I believe that the tuition is quite reasonable compared with other private schools in Houston that we considered. We intend to keep our 8 year old at St. Thomas' through 12th grade and we plan to send our 3 year old there as well when she reaches school age. I would also encourage any parents considering a private school education to meet with Mr. Cusack and the faculty and see it for yourself. I believe that you will like what you see.

The teachers are awesome and the administration is very helpful. They also have a Scottish Arts program which is excellent. The band is full of bagpipers and drums. There is also a Scottish dance program which has produced many U.S. champions. If you are around the Meyerland plaza area around 4pm you will hear the bagpipers practicing.

It is a University Model school which offers classes on T/Th for K - 6th grade and M/W/F for 7th - 12th. The students do homework assignments prepared by their teachers on their "home" days. Parents facilitate at home much like they would with homework from a traditional school. It is great to get all their work done early afternoon and have the evenings for activities and family. Logos offers competitive programs in most sports (football, cheer, soccer, tennis, swim, baseball, volleyball, basketball, golf and track)

All the kids are mixed together and not serrated by age like the other day cares... I actually liked that a lot better because he learned how to act around smaller kids but he also advanced a lot quicker because he was playing with bigger kids so he learned how to talk faster. The ladies that work here are really nice and keep the place very clean and well maintained. If your looking for a daycare in this area, I would definitely recommend this place.

Their curriculum is play and project based, inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach. They have Spanish class, as well as optional gymnastics and soccer classes. They are very safe and cautious in terms of COVID pandemic rules -- and when the case load gets better for a prolonged time, then they reassess. One of the things my family has most appreciated is their COVID policy. All teachers wear masks, and all kids above a certain age (3ish) wear masks as well -- aside from when eating & optionally when playing outside. They have chickens outside, a flower and vegetable garden, and rabbits and 2 aquariums inside. Right now, some of the classes are raising caterpillars into moths and butterflies, and they have just harvested some of the chicken eggs and will get to incubate them and watch them hatch! Such great experiences for kids of all ages to have. They provide gourmet lunches made in-house from fresh ingredients, many of which are organic. On Friday afternoons, you can also buy some of their house-made goodies -- they have an assortment of baked goods, desserts, soups, and savory/main dishes. If you are late on Fridays, they may sell out of certain items.

Mrs. Coombs is another standout; she connects so well with the students and gives them really helpful, detailed feedback on their writing. And Mr. Leung is truly the heart of the math program. He manages to be both fun and strict, and he adapts his teaching to fit different skill levels. Because of him, I feel much more confident about my child's math skills heading into high school. Mrs. Mangum is also wonderful--always kind, encouraging, and a great role model. The administrative team is just as impressive.
