Having a toddler means having to always have something planned for one's weekend. We recently checked out Schoolhouse Children's Museum and really enjoyed it! Best of all, so did our son. There's 2 stories with various rooms and activity stations perfect for curious minds. On the second floor there's an indoor slide/gym and also a Toddler Cove for the younger kids to play. It could be the building itself but it has a lot of windows snd great light which makes this place feel light and fun. We ended up enjoying it so much we bought a membership before leaving. While our son is not yet 2, they offer many different classes for various age groups. Definitely looking forward to our future visits. Tip: due to capacity you'll want to RSVP when you plan on attending on their web site.

Great place to celebrate kids birthday, they had a lot of fun and the personnel are extremely nice and helpful.

So much fun! We are visiting from out of town and knew it would be bad weather so I was looking for indoor things to do with my son. This place was a hit! When we first walked in I was afraid we made a mistake and it would be too advanced for my 13-month old, but there was so many things he could get into that he was entertained for hours. There's 2 levels, downstairs they have a farm and train theme. Upstairs is a gated toddler play area for ages 3 and under, but there was definitely older kids in there (which was fine just wanted to note that) and then there's a mangrove play gym with tunnels and a slide. On the other side there's themed play like Dr, truck driver, mail man. My son loved the whole downstairs are and was absolutely obsessed with the slide upstairs. Cindy was extremely nice and helpful when we checked in, we did not make a reservation but it was fine. Parking was very easy, they have a large free lot right there. I want to note that it was EXTREMELY CLEAN!!!!!! I am so impressed by how clean. My son is just learning to walk so he still crawls and after we left his hands, feet, and knees were not visibly dirty AT ALL. Very impressed about that. I did not see the bathrooms so can't attest to how clean they are. We will definitely return!

What a cute little spot this is and worth the drive from PBG on a super hot or rainy day. This 2-store, explore & learn, indoor playground was a ton of fun for both my 2- and my 9-year old! From the interactive puzzles and structures to the slide and imagination stations, there is hours of fun to be had to be here. If it's not too hot outside, the outdoor play structures looked amazing. There's one for the toddlers and one for the bigger kids to explore. Loved that they took reservations for each playtime to avoid overcrowding. Call ahead if you're active military for discounted entry!

One of the best museums for children I have visited. It is a museum that is designed for children to explore and learn about different areas. On the first floor, the museum is divided into two large rooms which consist of a farm, in which your child can learn about fruits and vegetables, the manufacture of milk, different animals that are on the farm and there is a small kitchen for the child to have fun. In the second room, you will find a very large train so your children can understand the importance of the Florida East Coast Railway, a window to make shows with stuffed animals and we can find a table to have a tea party at the original Boynton Beach Hotel. The second floor of the museum is divided into three rooms. In the first room, your child can explore and learn about the general store, doctor's office, post office, and main street. In the second room is known as the water world, your children can explore and learn about the native animals of Florida, play with puzzles, and steer a boat and imagine what it is like to fish in the waters of Florida. The last room is the classroom which is for museum programming, special events, birthday parties, or field trips inside one of our original classrooms. Without a doubt, it is one of the best places to take your children

Super cute exhibits for kids of all ages. Parking was easy and the museum is clean and cool for a nice escape from the muggy weather.

Pros: Free parking Play rooms are age appropriate Colorful Cons: Staff members were somewhat unfriendly Some rooms and toys need updating

Always a good time with the younger kids. This place is tailored for the 5 and under age range, but our friend's 9 year old still had a blasty blast! Worth it! Military and Veterans get in FREE. But it's still only $5 a ticket. Covid safety and sanitation is top notch. The close mid day to clean. You have to reserve a time slot. But we had no issue showing up with an extra person. Everyone respected the social distance rule.

Wow, I love this museum. It is not only super cute, really well-designed, but also extremely clean. If you have children, which you probably are if you're attending a children's museum. You know that a cleanly and clean environment in a children's museum is a must and it's not that easy for museums to achieve. I absolutely love this place it's super cute and amazing it's so fun. My four-year-old and his bass pod had a blast playing dress-up they did doctors, they fed the cow and learn how they made milk, they have a train that you can do story time inside. It was just fabulous. It is hands-down way better than the Boca children's museum like two hands down.

I absolutely love this place!…read more I was looking for an indoor activity last minute for my son to partake in on a Saturday and came across this indoor playground. I honestly did not know what to expect but when I walked in the doors I felt immediately welcomed. I love that the front door stays locked for security purposes and the check-in system was super smooth. The price of play was $15 which was more than reasonable. My son immediately took his shoes off and began to explore. The owner offered me a cup of coffee (I immediately knew we were in the right place lol) and we engaged in delightful conversation. This is not your "typical" indoor playground which I love more than anything. Totally tech free! There are endless centers and sections of play areas for kids to get lost in imaginative and engaging play time, whether with friends or independently. There is a full size trampoline, toddler trampoline and slide for the kids to enjoy as well. My son had a blast and I intend on making this one of our regular weekend spots to spend time out the house hanging out.

No limit to how long you stay and enjoy. Really loved coming with my 5 year old nephew who majority of his time was with the train and cars.

Last week, everything came together and we were finally able to stop by the museum after a nearby lunch. The museum is located on the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Swinton. We've passed by many time going east on the avenue. There is metered parking on the side streets. The museum is in the hundred year old plus Delray School House. We entered and were greeted by the docent/volunteer. She told us a little about the building's history and which classrooms were originally located where before the remodeling was done. She also told us that they have no permanent exhibits, and that all the art work in the building was for sale. If you were interested in buying something, you should inquire about the price of the piece in the museum store. The first floor was occupied with works by the American artist, Dorothy Gillespie. Although she was a painter, she also worked in many different media. She was well known for her creative, colorful metal works of art. One quote compares her level of metal craft and skill as equal to Chihuly and his glassworks. On the second floor -- yes, there is a big staircase, but we took the elevator from inside the gift shop/store -- are works by Chilean-born Gustavo Novoa. Approximately 30 paintings show colorful, luxurious jungle scenes with animals. The volunteer said his art reminded her of the lushness of Gauguin's paintings. On second floor, there is also an exhibit of mosaics from a Mexican school. They are portraits of famous people -- actors, singers, etc. You will recognize most of them. The tiny pieces are put together in intricate patterns to form the faces. In some of them, they incorporate other materials -- like a piece of jewelry as a broach, leather as clothing, etc. They are fascinating to view up close first and then step back to see the overall portrait. The exhibits rotate periodically. The museum entrance is free, but there is a suggested donation of $5 per person which we happily paid. I'm glad we finally got a chance to visit.

The museum showcases the history of the Seminole tribe and highlights various aspects of culture (including things like food, trade, arts, clothing). Part of the museum has artwork from painter Jimmy Osceola (no photos allowed in this part of the museum), which were absolutely beautiful and vivid in color! Ticket prices are $10 for adults, $7.50 for students. IMO, well worth the money as it provided a good understanding of Seminole history and culture, all in one small space.
