David with AAA did our inspection today and did an outstanding job. He answered all of our…read morequestions in thorough detail and spent so much time on the major home systems that I rescheduled later appointments in order to spend more time with him. He made my fiancé and I feel comfortable as first time homebuyers that we were getting a complete picture of the home we're in contract on, both good details and bad. As an architect as well, David displayed deep knowledge of everything we should be on the lookout for in an older home. Can't recommend him highly enough.

Our home was inspected and the report was so riddled with errors as to make us wonder if this…read moreinspector had a clue as to what he was doing and which home he was reporting on. He reported that our home had 35-year asphalt shingles and that they are 18 years old when in fact our home has architectural dimensional, 50-year roofing what was installed 7 years ago by Wilfong Roofing. He reported that the dryer was vented into the crawlspace below the home when in fact it had been vented out the back of the house with flexible dryer hose which ran through the crawlspace, until last year when we had Dryer Vent Wizards install a new solid aluminum vent out the front of our house. He recommend water proof covers over outside receptacles when in fact ALL of our outdoor receptacles have waterproof covers. He reported that the 2nd floor HVAC was not working when in fact we had it turned OFF. Had he bothered to turn it ON he would see that it is indeed working (and was serviced by Albemarle Heating & Air 6 weeks ago under our maintenance contract). He reported that our washer & dryer were 5 years old when in fact they were purchased from Lowes in January 2017; had he bothered to look at the appliance tags he would have seen their date. He asked why we had "dryer sheets" in the vents - when in fact we have VENT FILTERS we purchase at Lowes to keep dust & dirt from falling into the air vents in the floors. Most disturbing was that he reported there was "an older refrigerator" in the garage when in fact there isn't, & never was. Have to wonder why he was seeing things that don't exist. Maybe he thought the water heater was a refrigerator... We have bought & sold homes multiple times during our lives, and never had we had such a flawed home inspection than this. For the very few things that he reported accurately and that we did not know about, we are thankful that we found out and have a chance to remedy them. But the home inspection report generated was more fantasy than it was fact.

The biggest most identifiable need was to search for a creative designer who could work within my budget and be flexible to try out different concept ideas that incorporated my ideas. That is exactly what I found with CEB Design. It can be a tough process deciding on the logo that best represents your company and a website that expresses and communicates to your target audience. Cara's professional experience helped guide our company's rebranding campaign with strategic planning and 'think outside the box' smarts, solutions were never unavailable. Denise Hood, the owner of Creative Juices, worked for me for approximately five years…read more Unfortunately, due to what I believed to be her inability to keep her southern-bred politics out of the professional space, we parted ways in a not so amicable manner. Notwithstanding our unpleasant farewell, it would be unfair to characterize Ms. Hood's work as subpar. On the contrary, over the years I have been quite impressed with the work products of Creative Juices. Ms. Hood, in my view, is one of the most knowledgeable experts in social media and marketing in the country! I found Ms. Hood to be very hardworking, honest, and responsive. I greatly value the work that Creative Juices completed for me. The aforementioned sentiments are entirely in keeping with previous review comments that I have offered in support of Creative Juices. I simply, at the time, chose not to express my growing discomforts with Ms. Hood's perceived ideology. It seems to me that there are two types of "clients" when it comes to hiring a social media professional -- the client who cares only about whether the social media professional has the technical expertise to get the job done; and the client who, in addition to expecting technical expertise, also cares about the quality of the overall experience. I fall in the latter category. Solely on the question of technical proficiency, I would give Ms. Hood the highest possible score. I truly think she is one of the best technical experts in the field! However, on the basis of what I perceived to be Ms. Hood's failure to separate her political ideology from her professional role, I would not rate my experience with Creative Juices very high. Thus, my overall rating of three stars. Actually, my 3-star rating is quite gracious, as has been my accolades in this review. In addition to my frustrations with Ms. Hood's perceived ultra-conservative ideology, which is her right to hold, I did not cite here the supervision time I invested pointing out sloppy work (in my view) on occasion. I wish to keep this review as positive as possible. Yet I anticipate a strong defensive reaction from Creative Juices, as opposed to introspection. That would be consistent with my experience whenever I tried to point out errors to the owner. Quite frustrating, though I will not downgrade to a "2-star" rating. I wish to be as fair as possible. I am grateful for all that Ms. Hood and Creative Juices did for my office over nearly five years. I wish her company much success in the future, though I will not be returning to this company as a client. Shenandoah Titus, Esq.
