Phil and then John Schonberg have done extensive work for us over the past 10 years or so. Early in our home ownership, we used a couple of other tree services, but we won't shop around again. The Schonbergs have done everything from promptly cleaning up storm damage to removing dead trees and grinding stumps to pruning and removing dead branches that are over 100 feet in the air. Most recently we thought we had to lose a mature maple tree, but John came up with a pruning plan and the tree is now thriving. They are reasonably priced, and have an experienced crew. We have used Schonberg's for over 12 years now. Every job is done professionally and with respect to the lawn and the neighbors. Their team works quickly and does the work in a safe manner (It looks like they have up-to-date equipment to do the jobs safely). Their bids are locked in before starting and if there is anything extra they will discuss before jumping in and catching you off guard. We have had several stumps removed as well and you can't tell they were even there. I do like that they talk to you and explain and suggest what might help you in the future (thinking ahead). I called several tree services in Lawrence and they all were not able to help me out. Our property needs some tree trimming and cutting done the soonest because it'll be put in the market. My last call was Schoenberg tree services and talked to John. He was kind enough to hear me out . His company is also busy out with clients needing tree services for the next 6-8 weeks but he was able to do ours after talking to him in 5 days and with a reasonable price too. I give below poor rating to Schonberg Tree Service from Eudora Kansas. The reason is they ran their heavy equipments on our lawn and they destroyed our new planted grass, ruined our grass, left their trashes all over and have left without replenishing our lawn when they cut our neighbors' tree. Furthermore, they did not have our permission to do their service on our lawn. I recommend Schonberg Tree Service is NOT a good company. They will leave your lawn a complete mess. We talked to their office and supervisor on they job. They were very rude. They were very unprofessional. A very rip off company. Don't let their money hunger ads fool you. read more
