We wanted to go bowling so we decided to come here because Aiea is waaaaaay to crowded. First of all, it was very easy to get on base. Went through the main gate, gave our ID's and got passes. DONE. We went on a Saturday which cosmic bowling I believe starts at 6pm. It took us about 15 minutes to get our lanes but after that it was really fun! PROs -lots of lanes -not that crowded -cost for cosmic bowling $3.75 per game (civilian price) -food is pretty good -music was good CONs -it's far away if you live in town -not many seats in the bowling area After we were done I was like, why don't we do this more often. We have done a team bonding here at this particular bowling alley for about 4 years now. Our students love it. The teachers love it. It's great. Normally. Yesterday, however, was a horrible experience. Luckily, our team this year is smaller than usual. We only have 110 students versus the normal 125. Our students paid for two games and shoes. When we arrived at 8:55, the bowling alley wasn't yet opened, and people were waiting outside. When they opened at 9 am, they weren't ready for us at all. We had to send our students to their lanes and then send them lane by lane for their shoes. That took over a half hour, with the janitor helping the lone counter worker. The whole time, the students were waiting. They weren't even allowed to start punching their names into the computer. Can you imagine having 110 12-13 year olds with nothing to do? Horrible. After everyone got their shoes, the worker allowed the students to put the names in the computer. In the past, they allowed us to help with the shoes. Everything was expedited. They allowed the teachers to make announcements on the microphone. This time, we had to tell her what we wanted to say...and when that happens, something always gets lost in translation. In the past, they could tally the bill easily and quickly. When our teacher went up to take care of the bill this time, the worker wasn't able to total the bill...even with the calculator. And she shut down the lanes our students were on when they weren't even done bowling their second game. She was flustered and grumpy. We'd heard it was her first day on the job alone. I'm sorry for that, but really, there needed to be some sort of preparation on the bowling center's part. Perhaps they should have added another worker for the morning. Or perhaps they should have scheduled someone more experienced. Although we'll come here again, we will hope that this same worker is not here. read more

Came here with my kiddos and a friend and her daughter as we tried to, once again, entertain the kids during summer break. Bowling is free for keikis during the summer. I believe they can bowl two free games a day and all you have to do is pay for the shoes. I paid less than $6 for me and my two kids. The place was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are old but clean. The little cafe had good mozzarella sticks that was reasonably priced and they serve Raspberry Ice Tea at the soda fountain. Raspberry Ice Tea is hard to find on this island. You have to pay for the refills but it was't that much, although I can't remember offhand how much. Overall, it was a good way to entertain the kids in an air-conditioned, indoor place for not a lot of money. read more

Workers all have crappy attitudes. Workers never answer the phone. It makes it impossible to know if it's worth the drive.

Many lanes, very affordable. Military rates are available. Bar and food is good. Well maintained and very clean. Only real complaint is needs more variation of lighter balls and sizes. Other than that, this is the most clean and organized bowling alley I've seen thus far. read more

Would rather pay more somewhere else then to come back here after my experience tonight. The two who were working sucked at customer service. The girl was up there eating. When I went up to tell them my lane was stuck, they acted offended that I interrupted their convo. Went to return shoes, and the girl grabbed them and turned around. No "have a great night" or anything. And there should really be a uniform of some sort because she was wearing stuff 2x smaller for her size and her stomach was protruding. read more

I like bowling but I don't care for loud music with base cranked up when I'm bowling. I asked the manager to turn it down so I can concentrate. I was completely blown off by the manager. I'm a manager where I work. The customer is always right. Being treated with such disrespect, is wrong. If you want business don't blow off your customers. On January 4th, Sunday, we came in to buy a game around 8pm. There was a blonde Caucasian girl working the register and she was very unpleasant and rude. She wouldn't let us by a game. She said we were too late and that she wanted to go home. As we were leaving she called us ASSHOLES. read more

Its a good bowling alley. Been coming there for years but the snack shop needs to be better. There service is slow and just today my friend had a turkey melt and half way thru we found A DEAD ROACH. Yes a Roach. So just some heads up. Health inspector should change that sign to fail. read more

This place is ok... The front counter staff was very helpful. It's always busy on a Friday or Saturday night, so I plan on coming early next time. The restaurant is always crowded and take awhile to get your food and it's bowl alley food! They have a bar with limited selection of beer on tap, and it's definitely cheaper to get a pitcher than a single pint of beer! We had 8 people and got a single lane with about 15 min wait, so I'd say not bad. The cost if way cheaper that out in town. We'll be back! read more

This bowling center is just okay in my book. They have plenty of lanes, the staff is friendly(usually very slow) and they have the bumpers that go up and down in case I am bowling with my kids. The things I do not like are they seem to know the league bowlers and put them on the lanes that seemed to be nicer( greased up, wood in front of the lane is nice, lights are not burned out) all others get lanes that are in not very good condition. The other complaint is the snack bar food. It always tastes odd to me. I have ordered different items and some taste stale and others taste like it was cooked in week old grease. The military should invest some money in fixing it up a little. read more

Not my favorite place to go bowling, but lanes here are cheaper compared to other bowling alleys. If you can, bring your own ball or borrow a friend's because there isn't much balls available when it gets busy. The only bowling balls left for us to choose from were either too heavy for me to carry or too small for my fingers. Food is not bad at all, but prices can be lowered a tad bit for what it is. Service could use some improving, too. read more

Everyone here is so friendly!! The staff is kind of slow, but that is something you get used to in hawaii. Everything is very clean & the food is okay. Our daughter really enjoys the cosmic bowling which is where they turn out all the lights, have glow lights, black lights & super loud dancing music. It starts at 6 (at home it starts at 11) and is only a few dollars extra. They have bumpers you can put up & ramps to help her. They don't have a very good children's balls though, they need lighter ones! read more

This place has a good staff, clean environment, good lanes. lanes and machines are well maintained. The drawbacks of this place are the snack bar and the pro shop. The snack bar, the lines and the wait can be long. The pro shop, consistent hours on the weekends (9:00am to 5:00pm Sat-Sun), there's no telling when the pro shop is open on the weekdays, hours are posted, but often is not followed. I haven't eaten from the snack bar enough to make a rating on the food. read more

Like a few other businesses on base, some of the civilian employees feel obligated to treat you poorly if you're in uniform (unless you're an officer). I was rushing around completing errands one morning and decided to stop into the bowling alley snack bar for a grilled cheese. The lady at the cash register who rang me up was pleasant and friendly (as was the woman who made my drink at the blowling alley bar a few weekends ago), so that's why I gave my review one star. There were very few people in the bowling alley at the time, so when a heavy dark-skinned woman (she was either Hawaiian or black; I didn't get a close look) called out, "Grilled Cheese!" at the counter, I went over to grab it. The woman snapped, "Are you order # such-and-such?" I looked at my reciept and saw it was a different #. I said, "No"; she then huffed away without saying anything to me. I then witnessed about 3 more grilled cheese orders being placed out on the counter, all with her yelling, "Grilled Cheese!", not the order #, which is what any fast-food employee with half a brain would do if they had multiple orders of the same food. An elderly man tried to go pick up my grilled cheese, at which the agitated woman FINALLY began to yell out the order #'s about two feet from the poor guy, who said something like, "Oh, oops" and went to go sit down. Disgusted, I walked out and just left my order there.. I can live without a tiny grilled cheese sandwich or the three dollars I spent on it. When I am paying you my own money for your service, you'd better provide me with decent customer service. Doesn't matter if it's a bank or a piddly snack bar in a bowling alley. I would highly suggest this woman take a lesson or two in customer service. I had nearly ten years of customer service experience when I came into the military, and I will not tolerate poor quality service. I am considering going in to talk to the manager. There was no reason for their employee to be rude to customers, especially an elderly man. If she wants to keep her job in this tough economy, she can start treating customers better because HER JOB DEPENDS ON IT! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I am trying to plan my son's birthday party here and just keep getting the run around. The number online is not the correct number so I came in and booked the party. I stated I would like the room and to order food for the party too. That's when I was told I needed to call back the next day and speak with the manager of the snack bar. No problem I thought. I spent 2 days calling at random times getting no response. So I decided to stop in again. I was then told to call back that day between 2 and 3 so the manager could speak with me. My son's party is in 3 days and I still have no idea if I can have the room, if I will have food and all I keep getting from the employees is "I'm sorry." I'm confused as to why it is so difficult to book the room and take an order for the necessary food. At this point I am attempting to change venue location of his party. I really love their food! Nice and clean and friendly service! I always wanna eat everything on the menu lol! Love it. Just had the chili cheese and nacho supreme. Now I wanna eat the curly fries, garlic fries, mozeralla cheese sticks, loco moco, burger, and wings lol! Imma most likely buy more after the cheese fries and nachos! read more
