My friend just started teaching zumba here so of course I had to come out for her first class! The location was very very easy to find and the zumba room is located in a huge recreation center. There are huge windows letting the natural sunlight in, as well as a beautiful view of the swimming pool. My friend Sheryl's zumba class is fire! Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished dancer, you will have fun at her amazing class. The music is a compilation of all of my favorite zumba songs and Sheryl is a great instructor. For non members it's a reasonable 6.00 per class. Be sure to come down and join us!

Hubby, daughter and I attended my Yelp friend's daughter's first birthday. It was fairly easy to find with ample parking all around the recreation center. My friend's daughter's theme was all pink as the hall was decorated in pink. How cute. As a guest coming to the party, the venue was pretty nice with restrooms across the hall. There were four or five long tables and the hall could probably hold around 200 people maybe less. There's a kitchenette in the back so you can cook or keep your food in the fridge. I thought that was pretty cool as most recreation centers don't have a full kitchen you can prep your food. My friend had the hall from 5 pm to 9:30 pm. We ended up leaving around 8:30 as hubby started work this morning at 4 am. I definitely had a good time. I'm sure it was pretty pricey to rent the hall because they probably charge by hour. Overall the recreation center served its purpose.

I love this location. Mililani Recreation Center 3 is the main recreation center, where the administrative office is located. If you wanted to walk in your payment for Mililani Town Association (MTA) quarterly dues, this is the location. In addition, if you wanted to purchase or renew your membership card, you would come here. The last time I checked, I believe that it was $12 per year as a homeowner. You may also purchase a two year membership card for $21. You save a few bucks that way. The staff here are always so friendly, too. I'd prefer coming here to renew my membership than other locations. As a member, MTA offers many recreational activities and/or classes to choose from including Judo, Karate, Kenpo Karate, Yoga, Tai Chi, Aquatics, Tennis, Basketball, Hula, and dance classes. They also offer exercise classes, such as Zumba! For those that wanna shake their booty! Lol. If you really want to sweat and work your bum, then sign up for their bootcamp. Now that's good stuff, right there. I think I want to sign up for that one, myself. Hehe. They also have a great Seniors Program and a Tiny Tots Program for children from 18 months to 4 years of age. Any who....once a member, if your'e interested in signing up for any of the membership services they provide at this and other locations, this is the location you would need to sign up for them. This location has a lap pool, tennis courts, and a rental facility that can house a small party. If I'm not mistaken, I think it's around 100-150 max. This is a cool place to house a weekend lunchtime birthday party for a child. You're able to rent the facility and the kids can go swimming in the pool while they are there. Cool stuff. We've attended a few birthday parties here and it was pretty cool for the kids. We've also attended a graduation party here. I'd say if you're planning on inviting no more than a hundred guests, this is a great location. My husband and I used to come here frequently to play tennis with friends...when we had more time on our hands (pre-child). We also used to come to this location to swim in the pool on weekday evenings as well as on weekends. It's not as busy as the other locations.

MTA is the worst. Bad costumer service. Continued issues with using any of their facilities. With no help.

What do I want to do on my birthday? Let's go take a walk in the park!…read more With the hustle and bustle of the holiday weekend and events here and there, I wanted somewhere less crowded and quiet. Foster Botanical Garden came to mind. I haven't been here for a very long time! The entrance is located along Vineyard Blvd. - westbound, right after the Kuan Yin Temple. There's plenty of free parking. Out of all the City and County botanical gardens, this is the only one with admission, but it's well worth the price - $5 for adults, $3 for Hawai'i Residents, $1 Children 6-12 (so, 13+ are adults?), and free for kids 5 and under. There is a free docent-led 90-minute tour at 10:30am - every Monday and Wednesday to Saturday - anyone can join. Walk-ins okay if there's space, or make reservations via email or phone. Before heading in, you can grab a map and a bird checklist. The garden itself is very well kept and quite spacious. There are two restrooms - one on the left and another on the right. They were quite clean! All areas, trees, and plants are clearly marked. Be on the lookout for the "exceptional trees" such as the Baobab, which looks like elephant legs; Cannonball Tree, Kapok, and etc. The Orchid Collection in the greenhouse has a nice variety with the infamous Corpse Flower. Overall, a very nice, well-maintained place to visit and worth the admission fee. Even though you're in town, next to the freeway and busy streets around, you still feel a sense of relaxation and calm while connecting with nature and admiring the vast collection of trees and plants. I wouldn't mind getting the annual pass for $25 just to take my lunch here!

From the moment you arrive, you are treated with the utmost respect. People living with dementia really need their self-esteem because there's part of them that realizes that he can't remember things that just happened. both my mother-in-law and my uncle were very hesitant to go to a daycare. I drop them off at around 9 AM and pick them up just after lunch. I figured that it would be too long of a day to keep from eight hours. Well, I was wrong. They both did not want to leave. They quickly made friends and clearly did not want to leave at all. This is a Friday afternoon. On Saturday my mother-in-law called me asking when am I picking her up to take her to day care. LOL. Besides activities, like current events, sing-along, seating exercise, And special games like balloon volleyball, hangman, Wii golf, and Wii bowling. they also played blackjack and do puzzles. But the best thing about Live Well at Iwilei is hands down the food! do you see this center is run by Kahala Nui. The chef is amazing. The clients dying on some fantastic food. During special holidays like this past Chinese new year, the clients get to partake in the lion dance then eat scrumptious Chinese food like dim sum, fried noodles, pork hash, and rice cake. The same goes for Obon season. They have sushi, noodles, more Chico chicken and many more. I would highly recommend this place for your loved ones. If you were looking for just a half a day or a full day of day care give them a call. Lynn Wong the manager there will make you feel right at home and will put your love ones at ease.

They give my mom shower every day we drop her off. It is something that other day care can't do.read more
