The garlic parm wings were my fav and the "spicy goulash" is not spicy at all, so good!! Bummer that the pretzels aren't homemade, definitely from a box. The homemade sourdough bread though was 5 stars!

    Gulasch Soup, delicious!

I very much enjoyed the Goulash soup at the Schnitzel & More. Give it a Try It's always a pleasure to visit this little Gem. Thank you Apple for making us feel at home.

I rarely get emotional in general and especially not in public but tonight was an expectation. When I was 6 I lived in Germany for 2 years. The landlords that owned our house also owned the German restaurant next door and we ate there several times a month. I have traveled all over America trying to recreate that experience from my childhood. Some places have come close. The Bavarian in Fort Walton is particularly good and I've eaten there several times but none have quite hit the mark exactly. This restaurant did. This restaurant tasted exactly like my childhood German restaurant to the point that a flood of memories came flowing over me like that scene in Ratatouille and I literally cried. I am not joking. The food here is without compare to any German restaurant outside of Germany and many inside of Germany. The German important beer options are excellent and incredible and their dessert was as good as the rest of their food, absolutely authentic and amazing. Apparently they have customers who travel from 2 hours away to eat here and I would drive 2-3 times that distance to experience this food again. Exceptional food, ambiance, and service. A must visit for anyone outside of Germany.

I have been in the US for 28 years and have been to many German restaurants. I truly mean this when I say, this been the best Jägerschnitzel that I have eaten in any Restaurant in the USA. The German potato salad and Spätzle also tasted just like my mom's back in Germany taste like. The Atmosphäre was cozy and Emily the general manager (who filled in as a server since she was short handed) was taking care of all the guests with a smile on her face. What a gem of a restaurant. We will have to make this a regular visit every time we are on vacation for in Destin.

We finally made it here after been shopping all day. This was the best dinner experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, very nice staff. We enjoyed our starters parm wings, pierogi with bitburger. We had Hamstien Schnitzel, currywurst, spicy pork meatballs. It came with side of sauerkraut and red cabbage. Everything was freshly prepared. The prices were reasonable. So glad we went. Awesome place. We loved it.

First time trying German food, love it and I'll be back again if I visit Niceville. Good service as well.

The best potato pancake ever. Highly recommended.

So delicious. The best potato pancake I ever have. Highly recommend this place. Bitburger is my new favorite now. You deserve 5 stars and above!

Where do I even begin?…read more We had our wedding at Garden & Grain this weekend and it was absolutely flawless. I have to start with the most important parts of our day which were Cara & Jadyn, our event coordinators and Nick & Jesse, our bartenders. Cara and Jadyn were literal earth-movers and magic makers. These two helped us get everything decorated and torn down with absolute ease (and we had an awful lot of decor we brought in.) By the time we moved into the ceremony, Jadyn was everywhere ensuring we started when we were ready, the guests were ready for us to enter, and just made us feel so at ease. We heard from so many guests that they didn't even realize the chairs got moved from the garden into the grainhouse between because it was so fast and flawlessly executed. These folks were so stealthy bringing 75 chairs between different spaces. Bravo. Our caterer was just arriving as we were about the walk the aisle. We had no idea the chaos that was ensuing behind the scenes that Jadyn and the team worked out as quickly as possible and without our guests even recognizing there was a delay in the start time of the food service. Obviously catering is a huge part of the day, and it would have been so stressful had we realized they were 30+ minutes behind. The execution of our wedding could not have happened flat out without these two wonderful people. We are so grateful for you both, Cara and Jadyn. You deserve all the praise in the world and are absolutely amazing event coordinators. Oh, and Jadyn, thanks for never letting us have a drink less than half full - your impeccable attention to detail is what every event coordinator should strive for. Now, the other critical aspect to a wedding is bar service. Nick and Jesse had those drinks flowing non stop all night. There was never a guest waiting in line or without a drink from before the ceremony to last moments. Our guests were complimenting all night on how amazing the bar service was. We are a family with one side from New Orleans, we know how to party and going into it with 2 bartenders for 75 people who know how to have a good time was an anxiety for us, but there was not a single mishap in the bar service and we couldn't have asked for a better experience for our guests or us. Not to mention, every time I looked at Nick or Jesse, they were both smiling and so happy to be there with us - it meant a lot to feel like your vendors were a part of your wedding. The space lent itself so naturally to our ceremony and reception. It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and just 100% our vibe. Our guests also complimented all night on what a cool venue we had. If you're thinking about booking an event, particularly a wedding here, don't hesitate. There's not a dang thing I would change about Garden & Grain, Perfect Plain and the people they had assisting us and our guests throughout the event. Being able to look back and see how smoothly things ran is every Bride's dream, and without a doubt you will have the same experience that we did here. Thank you G & G/Perfect Plain/Perennial Hospitality for the amazing experience on our wedding date. You have no idea what this meant to us. It means even more to feel that you guys actually enjoyed being there with us. Pat yourselves on the back and know that you are shining examples of what a wedding venue is supposed to operate like. Cheers to you guys, thank you once again for everything!

We got here mid-afternoon on a weekday so as expected it wasn't very busy which was great for us since we had plenty of time to meet the staff and owner and got a little history of this establishment and of course partake in some delicious german cuisine and for me a taste of the ice cold german beers on tap. This is a beautiful venue and the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. I'm definitely not an axe thrower but I do have a palette for delicious german food and I'm definitely a self-proclaimed expert beer drinker. After spending some time in Germany I developed a love for German Beer so I wasn't going to waste this opportunity to enjoy a few of my favorites, the BitBurger Pilsner and Hofbrau Dunkel Lager which never disappoints - The menu is filled with authentic offerings that made choosing a little difficult for me I wanted a taste of everything. We started with an amazing pretzel and bier cheese soooo yummy and so big there's plenty to share, we also ordered the Rueben and Brat with fried potatoes everything was perfectly executed so my hats off to the kitchen. This was a wonderful experience, a very comfortable setting and great conversation with everyone that makes this place great, we can't wait to return on our next trip to the area and I've already discussed with Barrett that we'll have a toast with a few cold ones then - I can't wait, you definitely need to bookmark this one...
