Better customer service. I went in to pick up my range finder that I left at the course. I know my fault. But I'm a busy man working construction. I didn't have time in the past 3 weeks to come back to the course to pick up my range finder. So I came back today August 29th 2026 around 3:30pm. I asked the young man working the desk if he had a lost and found. He said he does but he needs a date that I was at the course. I told him I'm not sure I golf every week, but it's a white and black red tiger range finder. He pulled it out of the drawer and said is this it. I said yes it is he said this one was over a month ago you said 2 weeks I can't give this to you. You can come back in a year and if it's still here I will give it to you. Are you loosing your mind. I paid with my solid hard earned money to play at the course and for that range finder, and your telling me your going to hold my property that I paid for. Just because I couldn't remember if it was 3 weeks or 2 like come on man. Excuse my French but what the fuck bro that's ridiculous. read more

Had a breakfast sandwich on wheat that was, okay. Egg, sandwich ham and cheese. Was $6.50, came with a bag of chips. It was a partly cloudy day temp was 74° a slight breeze made the heat a bit easier to take. The coarse was nice, dry green. Had a good time. read more

Riverside is unique in many ways.............it is not along course, each hole has an interesting layout that needs your attention for better management. The shorter par fours have aspects that will throw off the longer hitters. if you are a long hitter, play them safe, place your ball and you will score better. The course is well maintained and upgraded year to year, new trees and a new tee on #6 last year and #12 this year. Play can be slow at times for various reasons but every golf course is. It all depends on the players, some are slower than others..........patience is a virtue. read more

New policy says 18-25 years of age must leave card and ID to take a cart. A bit much but did it anyways, the two people working in the pro shop already were catching attitude with me by the time I went out with 2 other players. Came back in after playing and got accused for bringing in the wrong carts even though they wrote both of our cart numbers down. The worker insists that I was responsible for their cart as well as he refers to my playing partners "your people" for being brown. They tried holding me responsible for the "wrong" cart that my playing partners were using even though we paid separately and they were over the age of 25 so they didn't hold their credit card and ID. After asking him why I'm responsible for other people's carts that are over the age of 25 he chucks my cards across the counter and turns away from me. read more

Great staff and quality course! Ignore the rude customers posting about slow play. It's a popular PUBLIC course. If you want to be a pompous ass about playing with golfers of all skill levels, go join a snooty country club. read more

Alright y'all let's get to it! So my buddies and I started last season coming here. Course lay out is beautiful, decent and kept nice. The turnoff? HORRIBLE if you aren't an old timer that's been going here since the place was first seeded and trees were sprouts. I thought, as much as we've been coming here ,were in with the cool kids...NOPE! The put out attitude and bothersome tones when we ask about their specials etc was tolerable at first but when We bring friends and at times, clients and get treated poorly? Yeah sadly not sad we won't be returning here and be sure we will let ALL my friends know as well. The Barn, Davis, Bluff (which is affiliated) MtOgden, SunHills, and Valley View golf courses are all First Class. Too bad because for awhile we called this place our home course! NOT ANYMORE! And we will be sure to let all our Southern golf friends and family know NOT to come here as well read more

Visiting family from Southern California, I was looking for a fun local course to play. I stumbled across Schneiter's Riverside Golf Course on Google and despite the less than stellar reviews, decided to give it a try. I took my father and 4 year old son with me in hopes for a pleasant afternoon. We get to the 10th tee for a backside 9 when we hear our name over the loudspeaker telling us to report to the clubhouse. We were told by the staff that my son was not allowed on the course. They have a club (I use that term very loosely because it barely qualifies as one) rule that forbids children under the age of 10 years old on the premises. We tried to make a case explaining that he would only be riding in the golf cart and not playing. We were simply told that we were not allowed out on the course if my son was going to be with us. We were refunded our money and we left the grounds. So remember this parents, if you have children that you MIGHT consider getting involved in golf, Schneiter's Riverside Golf Course not only actively discourages growing the game for the youngest generation, you aren't even allowed on the grounds. I am sure the USGA (the golf body trying to grow the game of golf), the PGA, and the UGA will be very disappointed to find this out. Outside of the fact that we were kicked off the course because we had my son with us, the course looked like it was in horrendous shape. Clearly they have not been putting any money into maintaining a decent passable golf course. I would rate this place ZERO stars if the option was available. AVOID AVOID AVOID read more

Usually I love playing this course, but for all but 1 or 2 rounds last year, and so far none out of 4 rounds this year, have not been able to play the front 9 holes at all. I have asked for the front nine when calling for tee time, but it never helps. read more

This is an ok course. Pretty scenic, but short. Beware it can be super slow getting off the front as number two is a short par 4 that basically plays like a par 3. They also have a habit of sending out fivesomes at times which can be extremely frustrating if you are stuck in the group behind. I would recommend playing on a weekday if possible to avoid the dreaded five hour round. read more

So today was the first time that I got to play here. I can tell you first impression is every thing. To start I called at 3 p.m. To see if the course was full. I was told that it would be no problem to send me out. I got to the course around 3:45 asked to play nine. Told the lady at the counter that I need some time to get ready. She said to let her know when I was ready. I putted around on the green for a 5 min. Or so. I let her know I. Was ready and she said I could go on the back if I wanted. I told her I would like to go off on the front if I could bring it is the first time I have played here. She said I would have to wait for the 4 some and 2 some in front of me. I was not in a hurry so I said ok. To no fault of the course the 4 some was bad. It took the 15 min to get the the green (par 4 330ish from the blues.). The 2 some and I waited for them when a 3 some walking came up to Hebrew box. After waiting a little bit they asked if the w 2 some had a tee time, which they did. The 3 some said well we are a reround. (For those of you that do not know what this is. It is when you pay for 18 and go off on her back 9 first. This is the first time I had heard of this). At this time one of them waked into the club house and the next thing we knew the 2 some (with a tee time) and I were kicked off the tee. I walked back in to ask why we were kicked off the tee and got this. Well they are re round. They have the right of way. She asked if I was the walk on I said yes. She gave the excuses of Well I fit you in where I could. When asked about the 2 some with the tee time and why they got kicked off all I got a gain was they are a re round. So after waiting 40 min. On the tee box I can Finley tee off and tell you how the front 9 of the course. For the price $15 for the 9 holes. I can tell you not to play this course. The tee boxes were ok at best. They looked like they have not been moved for a bit. The fairways well what fairways is all I can say. They were not cut out. The fairways and rough were all the same length. Greens did roll true when you were not putting through all the ball marks they the other players did not fix. Greens were faster than some of the other courses in the area. The pin placement looked the same as the tee boxes. They had not been moved. Where the pins were at on the greens they were beat up and hard to putt with all the holes in the green. I paired up with the 2 some in front of me to keep the play moving and got to talking to them about the course. They said that the course never has a marshal out which they need. it took me 2.5 hours to play he 9 holes. (That of course was after the 40 min wait to tee off.). and that the course has gone down hill in the last few years. I would agree with that. On another note the players at the course do not know much about how to play. 1 the players wanting to play through on one. 2 on hole 2 I hit a little over the green when I when to get my ball the 4 some in front of me picked my ball up. (my ball was 30 feet to the side of the tee box) which was not more than 5 yards off the green. When I told them it was my ball and to put it back I was called a jerk. So if you do play there which I recommended you not do watch out for other players picking up your ball. read more

I grew up in this course and I still love to play it even after 18 years. It always seems to be open sometimes even with a little snow on it in the winter! Always well taken care of and fun to play. It can get a little crowded at times but you are still able to play 18 in under 4 hours. read more

I really like this course. It's not the toughest course in the world but it has some challenges and it's fun. Sometimes they pack the course with golfers and it gets a little slow. The Schneiters family is awesome, and very nice. Kirk, the pro can be a jerk sometimes but overall i really like this course. read more
