On a windy, icy late afternoon I noticed that one of our very tall elm trees had split vertically and the trunk above the split was leaning precariously. Because of the wind and bad weather, I expected that it would take a long time to get help, but I called Schneider and left a message. Our tree was away from the house and posed little danger so we notified the neighbors so their children wouldn't go out in their yards just to be safe, and waited for a response. Schneider called back promptly and sent a crew early the next morning. The tree had fencing on two sides and was on the edge of a grove of trees. Also, access to our yard was difficult and they couldn't use heavy machinery. The men studied the situation and made a plan that would be least likely to harm either the fence or the other trees. They suspended the tree from some of the other trees and cut the tree out from the bottom, carefully and patiently cutting sections out and then lowering the remaining tree top and cutting more sections out. We were very impressed June 2010 experiencing the highly professional, detailed care of our property using the crew and services of Schneider Tree Care. They quickly removed an approximate 100 foot tall poplar tree within two feet from, and overhanging our large back yard shed and electrical power lines under the tree canopy. Then, overnight during an April 2011 thunderstorm another of our poplar trees approximately 150 feet tall dropped diagonally across our yard destroying the south end of our home and narrowly missing our neighbor's house. We contacted Schneider Tree Care the next day for their help. They appeared early the day after with a huge crane and the same talented crew who, with the same 2010 expertise, quickly cleared the downed tree making it possible to drape a tarp over the end of our home to protect it against further rain damage. I just had Schneider Tree Care come by my home and remove several large dead limbs that were hanging high up in a couple of my oak trees. The limbs were destined to fall, so it was definitely a situation that I wanted to remedy before another high wind storm hits. I also had other trees trimmed to remove limbs that might fall on utility wires nearby. One tree in my back yard was treated to maintain a healthy state. All in all, I was very pleased with the professionalism, and expertise with which they tackled the job. They were very strategic and also cleaned every bit of debris out of my yard. We have used Schneider Tree Care in the past. Chad Brown was our arborist then as he is 5 years later. He is very knowledgeable about all of the trees and foliage on my property. We are getting fertilization and fungus control treatments. We had our first treatment on 8/13. Rasheed Rasoul was our technician. I spent about 20 minutes talking to Rasheed.
