Sept. 10, 2025. I made an appointment for September 11, 2025 was in touch with office a number of…read moretimes prior to appointment and discussed my insurance. The receptionist explained today that I must paid $86 dollars first then on second visit will pay $6 since I am covered by Medicare, since I am retired from the government. They said they called the insurance and provided code. I asked what code was provided to the insurance and they refused to provide. I have excellent insurance which this doctor is in Network. I explained this is illegal to ask for money up front to a patient if I am covered. I called my insurance, and they agreed this is illegal to do if they are in network and have a contract with insurance. This is a warning to all those who make an appoinmnet to ask questions and if in doubt of their answer, contact your insurance. Doctors are not to ask for money upfront to a patient if they are in Network and have a contract, this is illegal! Very disappointed.

He is the first one who absolutely refused to manipulate my back and put my spine in alignment. He treats all his patients with electrodes and Ben Gay. After seeing him a number of times I'm still in pain. He only wanted me to keep coming back for his ridiculous treatments. He likes to grab his payments though. He may be very friendly and likable, but his performance, as a chiropractor is pitiful.

He did a detailed workup (studied my MRI and other diagnostic reports, asked questions about my symptoms, and observed my movements) and thoroughly explained the exercises he was prescribing and how they would address my problem. He also got on the phone with a physical trainer I was seeing to advise on what kinds of movements I should and should not do. He was always attentive, patient, and willing to answer questions. I believe he truly cares about his clients and is sensitive to their differing styles and needs. The 134th Street staff--Kariata (I hope I've spelled your name right!), Vanessa, and Brenda--were also friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Berzisht as a physical therapist.
