The concept is simple: take the farmers market, find the best of the best, and move it to a permanent, indoor location so that the amazing food producers in Utah have a place to sell their stuff year-round. And that's exactly what I saw today. Slide Ridge Honey. Salsitas Mendoza. Tagge's Famous Fruit. Yee-Haw Pickles. Crumb Bros bread. Pop Art Popcorn. All available there in the transformed shop space--home of an old dry cleaner, completely cleaned out and cute-i-fied. There's also a small selection of seasonal produce. Today it was beet greens, carrots, and radishes in the center fresh section. We'll see how that part shakes out. I'm told that there's a small kitchen going in, in the back. Not so much for serving food, but more so if any of the vendors need a space, they have it. Besides the non-food items, there were lots of great gifts and pretties. Bird houses, earrings, cheese making kits. But a few of the highlights. As with all new businesses, there will be kinks to work out. They'll fine-tune the flow of the store--you enter up front but park in the rear. That's just how it will work, but inside as they explore the layout and displays you'll want to spend more and more time there looking over the overwhelmingly Utah-grown and Utah-produced goods. It's local stuff, so don't go expecting bargain basement. That said, I think the prices were extremely reasonable for what you're getting. So I've no qualms about recommending this as a unique shop for gifts, specialty food, and all around Utah awesomeness.

It was the perfect date night-an activity and a souvenir, and priced at $5 per person (plus supplies) I felt like it was a good deal. We arrived a few minutes early and saw other attendees lurking about, a little unsure on what to do. Eventually, we found our way to the back where there were tables setup and our instructor, ready to get hands dirty. The class itself was fun-Lucas showed us different plant options as well as items to put at the bottom of our containers to provide drainage. I would have loved to have had more time with him to learn more about the specific plants, what goes well together and how to best care for them when we got home. But there were at least 20 people there, all with questions, so we did our best and had a great time! While we were there, we also perused the other products-specifically the produce-so we could eat some fresh fruit while we planted. The selection was fresh, and we took home raspberries, nectarines and apples-as well as a bottle of raspberry jam. I didn't see a TON of larger plants or things for the yard-most of what I saw was on the smaller side. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure we will be back as we grow our collection of indoor plants.

Received the bag and it appeared small so I weighed it and it was 6.6 ounces (187 grams). And that's WITH the mylar bag. Hmm... one freeze dried egg weighs approximately 0.5 ounces or 14 grams. This approximately matches the nutritional content of an egg which is 7 grams of protein, 6 grams of fat, and 0.5 grams of carbs when you take out all the water. So each pouch was actually 12 eggs, not 72. When I contacted them to ask about this discrepancy, they didn't apologize or admit that they made any mistake or had incorrect information on their site. They just said matter-of-factly that I could send the items back for a partial refund (i.e. they wouldn't reimburse me for shipping). Really? Not cool.

They have a ton of vegan items, and that's what I'm all about. BUT.. my only question.. why is everything expired? When I say everything, I mean everything I bought. I got home, and found that all my purchases (mainly frozen ones) were over due - even as old as Jan 2018. Did I miss something? Is that how the Co-op is? Since a majority of what I purchased was frozen, I felt better about it.. but I'm confused. Maybe I'm 100% clueless on co-ops! (If I am, please tell me. ) I bought a vegan cream cheese, Miyoko's: one that I've been looking all over SLC for. I spent $10 for it (Trader Joe's sells one of theirs for 5.49), and I got home to find out it was a month expired. This was not a frozen item, so I feel more sketchy about it. This was the one I was most upset about. $10 for something a month expired (specifically over due on 10/21). I'm having mixed feelings, because I find that this place is so super cute, and has so much to offer SLC, and communities where the Co-op donates time and money. But... I just don't want all of my non-frozen purchases to be expired. Did I miss something? This place would have easily been a 5/5 for me. But based on this... I'm feeling more 3-4/5. I'm just... confused!

It was very organized, they had a great variety of pumpkins and they were priced well. Our kids chose 3 good size pumpkins and we only paid $13. We loved the little store! We bought some sourdough, cookies, donuts, a cinnamon roll, and garlic knots. The vanilla cronut was soft and had great texture and sweetness! The cinnamon crumble donut had great flavor, sweet and moist! We warmed up the pumpkin cinnamon roll when we got home and it was rich in flavor. You get a subtle pumpkin flavor, but it was so delectable. The sourdough garlic knots were soft on the inside and had a nice garlic flavor, we warmed it up when we got home and paired it with some marinara and it was amazing! Definitely recommend going! In addition to all the grocery goods indoors ranging from fresh fruits and vegetables to coffee, honeycomb, meats, cheeses, and pastas, they also have soaps, lotions, balms, and other household items that are cute and functional. Their holiday shop is adorable with festive mugs, glasses, notepads, gift tags, and more They currently also have a tree lot outside and their Christmas trees are very fairly priced for their height We came during their holiday shop celebration and they showed off their event venue with hot cider, cronuts, donuts, and music. The dried flowers hanging from the loft are quite charming. Everyone was friendly including the two shop cats There are two parking lots including a smaller parking lot right in front of the shop and a larger overflow lot in front of the goats and small ponies. Recommend wearing boots or sturdy shoes and walking a little away from the fence to avoid the errant droppings. Lots of cute swings and benches for relaxing or photo ops and a fun festive environment. Totally recommend this local gem!

We came away with a ton of pumpkins for only $27. I don't have a porch (I live in a condo), but when I do, my porch will be overtaken by Mabey pumpkins. Next year we'll have a little 6 month old to take to the pumpkin patch, and you'd better believe I am pumped for those photo ops. For this year, it was a super fun date night. They have 14 acres of pumpkins of all shapes and sizes, with small ones pulled aside into big bins you can pick out of. Grab a barrel and walk around with it, because you'll end up with more than what you thought you wanted (I can't be the only one who thinks pumpkins are so cute!). My husband being the chatty person he is struck up a conversation with the owner, who is a fourth generation farmer. He was so friendly and kind, and it made me feel happy to support a local business. I highly recommend bringing some kind of gloves or protection for your hands. Pumpkin stems are prickly! I also don't recommend wearing your cute fashion boots since you sometimes need to walk into the patch to take a look at a pumpkin; they'll get dirty. Overall, a super fun date night or family night. It wasn't too crowded, and they had lots to choose from.
